Actor, “Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless.”

Kathy Griffin, who is hosting this year’s kudocast, opened the show telling everyone to “work bitch” with music set to Britney Spears’ song of the same now, proving cursing is okay for an online telecast not needing commercials. She added an “F” bomb soon after that. Kathy also talked about how crappy last year’s awards was.

Nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Michael Baldwin on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” for the fifth time, Christian Jules Le Blanc, a native of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, goes into tonight’s ceremony with a career total of nine nominations under his belt (the aforementioned five for lead actor and four for supporting actor) with three wins in 2005, 2007 and 2009 in the lead category.

In 2013, “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer), “Days of our Lives'” Eric Martsolf (Brady Black), “General Hospital’s” Bradford Anderson (ex-Damian Spinelli) and Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri) and “The Young and the Restless'” Steve Burton (Dylan McAvoy) proved they were the outstanding supporting gentlemen for their respective daytime dramas. On Sunday, June 22, they now compete with each other to find out which of them was the most Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Daytime Drama Series during “The 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.”

After getting shot on last week’s “The Young and the Restless,” Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) needs a liver transplant and the only person who might be able to save his life is Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton), but how is that possible? Well in a twist that’s about to rock Genoa City, it looks like Dylan might actually be Paul’s son with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and not Ian Ward’s (Ray Wise).

Rumors of Billy Miller (ex-Billy Abbott, “The Young and the Restless”) joining the cast of ABC’s “General Hospital” have been out there almost as long as rumors of Michelle Stafford (ex-Phyllis Summers, “Y&R”) joining the daytime drama series had been, but sometimes rumors turn out to have major truth to them, especially with Stafford recently joining the cast in the contract role of Nina Clay. Earlier this evening, TV Guide’s Michael Logan tweeted, “Billy Miller. General Hospital. Done deal? This is what I’m hearing.”

On today’s episode of CBS’ “The Young and the Restless,” Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) admitted to friend Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) that she’s looking forward to a bright future ahead for her and her husband, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), which includes the possibility of her having a baby with Genoa City’s top cop. “It used to be all about my career, getting ahead and proving myself, but once I married Paul, things changed. I want us to create something together. A testament to our love… I just hope it’s not too late!”

Though “The Young and the Restless’” Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Newman) has been nominated for four Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series Emmy awards in the past, this fifth nomination isn’t any less special. In fact, she says it’s always an honor to be recognized for hard work. “It’s always so thrilling, and it’s always an exciting, pleasant, flattering thing,” she enthuses. “I’ve gotten texts and emails and Facebook messages, and it really is so, so lovely. You really feel like it’s your birthday but even more so. Everybody professionally and personally comes out. And it’s so, so heartwarming.”

After her daughter died last year as a result of a hit-and-run, a desperate Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will attempt everything in her power to have another child with Billy Abbott (David Tom), even going so far as to drug and “seduce” the married man into having sex with her. The question is, is it a “sinful seduction” or an outright rape? In a newly released promo for next week’s episodes of CBS’ “The Young and the Restless,” the series calls what Chloe is doing to get her hands on Billy’s crown jewels (pun intended) as a sinful seduction, but visually it’s clear that Billy isn’t even conscious for Chloe’s plan. Meanwhile, Billy is also unknowingly already dealing with another set of baby drama. It turns out that his wife, Victoria (Amelia Heinle), is pregnant! The only problem is that it could be Billy’s, or it could be Stitch’s (Sean Carrigan). As for Ian Ward (Ray Wise), he better not get in the way of his son Dylan (Steve Burton) when it comes to the woman he loves, or he’ll end up paying the ultimate price.

When Bradford Anderson woke up this morning he didn’t immediately know that he had received his fifth Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Damian Spinelli on ABC’s “General Hospital.” How is that even possible, you ask? “I sleep with my phone off,” the actor admits. “That’s the fun thing about being on the west coast. You generally wake up to the news.” He adds, “Just turning on my phone and seeing how many emails and texts I get is generally an indication of a ‘yay’ or a ‘nay.'”
