Due to a growing concern for the safety and health of others during the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe, and in keeping with the new normal of social distancing, organizers for the Official “General Hospital” Convention have announced that the fourth annual gathering has been postponed.

Originally scheduled for the weekend of May 29-31, 2020, the event has now been rescheduled for the weekend of November 6-8, 2020. The Marriot Burbank Hotel remains the venue of choice.

With a new date now in place, Creation Entertainment, which has organized the event since its inception in 2017, is diligently working on re-confirming actor appearances.

Thus far, only James Patrick Stuart, Tristan Rogers and Eden McCoy have been confirmed to appear during the rescheduled weekend. Other actors scheduled to appear before the postponement include Maurice Benard, Laura Wright, Steve Burton, Bradford Anderson, Michael Easton, Finola Hughes, William deVry, Roger Howarth, Josh Swickard, Wes Ramsey, Donnell Turner, William Lipton, Briana Henry, Ingo Rademacher, Katelyn MacMullen, Cynthia Watros, Nancy Lee Grahn and Kin Shriner.

The fan convention is not to be confused with the annual “General Hospital” fan club weekend, which takes place in the summer when schools are normally not in session. Fan club president Debbie Morris announced earlier this evening that a decision on whether to move forward or cancel the event will be made in June. “We will know a lot more by then, and if necessary, choose to go forward, reschedule or cancel,” said Morris in a statement.

As we continue to monitor and follow the accepted safety protocols concerning COVID-19, the welfare of our guests, attendees and staff is top priority. Therefore, the #GHConvention is moving from May 2020 to November 6-8, 2020! Click for more: https://t.co/baJt62qE3Y @CreationEnt
