What do Carrie Underwood, the cast of “Blue Bloods,” which includes Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Amy Carlson and Sami Gayle, and chefs Lidia Bastianich and Michael Lomonaco all have in common? They will all be part of “The Talk’s” return to New York City during the week of December 8 thru 12 for holiday-themed shows, it was announced during today’s edition of the talk show.

In the midst of “The Bold and the Beautiful” gearing up for an exciting storyline in Amsterdam, which will begin airing Friday, November 7, the show’s stars Scott Clifton (Liam), Kim Matula (Hope), Ashleigh Brewer (Ivy) and Darin Brooks (Wyatt) dropped by CBS’ “The Talk” to discuss the twists and turns ahead. The newest cast members of “The Young and the Restless” Scott Elrod (Joe Clark), Justin Hartley (Adam Newman), Burgess Jenkins (Billy Abbott) and Gina Tognoni (Phyllis Summers) joined co-hosts Sheryl Underwood, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Julie Chen, along with guest co-host Pat Harvey, on today’s edition of CBS’ “The Talk” as the actors discussed some of the exciting new storylines in store for their characters and much more!

As has become tradition, CBS’ “The Talk” will celebrate “The 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” on Monday, June 23, the day after the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences awards daytime’s Outstanding Actors, Personalities and Shows.

During the final minutes of ABC’s “Good Morning America,” the morning show revealed selected nominees for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” which remains without a TV home despite being scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 22 live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel. According to David Michaels, Senior Executive Director and Co-Executive Producer of the awards show, however, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences does plan to stream the ceremony online if no TV deal can be made for this year.

Real life brother and sister duo Heather Tom (Katie Logan, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) and David Tom (Billy Abbott, “The Young and the Restless”) appeared on yesterday’s episode “The Talk,” and if you missed the exciting clip, you’re in luck!

Cupid may be fluttering around shooting love arrows left and right, but it seems he hasn’t been able to successfully connect “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Katie (Heather Tom) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) — at least, not yet! Despite facing increased competition via ABC’s growing “General Hospital” in most markets, CBS’ “The Talk” celebrated Thanksgiving week (week of November 25 through 29, 2013) by generating its largest ever weekly audience in total viewers and capped its best-ever November sweep in viewers and the Women 25-54 sales demographic, according to Nielsen Live Plus Same Day ratings data.

It’s not hard to laugh, but across the board, daytime stars agree that it’s not easy to be funny! That being said, some of the industry’s most popular talent — “The Price Is Right’s” Drew Carey, “Let’s Make a Deal’s” Wayne Brady, and “The Talk’s” Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood — certainly make it look easy to be hilarious day in and day out. Noticing the top-notch humor present in their daytime lineup, CBS decided to gather those said stars together at Hollywood’s legendary venue, The Comedy Store, to perform an evening of standup comedy benefitting a cancer charity. The result: CBS Daytime After Dark, Stand Up to Cancer — a fun event definitely worth smiling about!

While the soaps are all up year-to-year in total viewers and key sales demos, CBS’ “The Talk” is also showing signs of solid growth. Last week (week of July 15-19, 2013), the daytime talk show, hosted by Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler, Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen and Sheryl Underwood, recorded its largest weekly audience ever as the program averaged 2.62 million viewers.

According to Nielsen Media Research data released today, CBS’ “The Talk” has delivered its second-biggest weekly audience in the show’s history. “Talk,” hosted by Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler, Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen and Sheryl Underwood, averaged 2.54 million viewers* for the week ending July 12. The show averaged a 1.1/6 in Women 25-54 rating and a 0.7/4 in Women 18-49 rating.

The top winners from yesterday’s 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards most likely partied hard in celebration of their wins last night, but that didn’t stop them from showing up on today’s episode of CBS’ morning show, “The Talk!”

As we previously reported, HLN, the network hosting the the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy awards, is shaking up the beloved broadcast by interviewing the winners of the top seven categories on stage immediately following their acceptance speeches!
