CBS’ “The Talk” is set to kick off its eighth season — its first since season two without co-host Aisha Tyler — on Monday, September 11. So what should fans expect as the new season launches with just four co-hosts? After six seasons as a co-host on CBS’ “The Talk,” actress and comedian Aisha Tyler said goodbye to her co-hosts, friends and colleagues on the Friday, August 4 edition of the talk show, which also marked the final original for the 2016-17 television season.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced today the first round of presenters for “The 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” taking place Sunday, May 1 from the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, CA and “The 43rd Annual Creative Arts Daytime Emmy Awards” taking place on Friday, April 29, also at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel.

CBS’ “The Talk” announced today nominations for “The 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 1. On Monday, May 2, the daytime show will host its fifth annual “After Party” with scheduled guests to be announced early Monday morning, May 2.

A familiar face to fans of “The Young and the Restless” and “General Hospital” guests on “The Talk” on Monday, February 15. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and Pop announced today additional presenters for “The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” including Tom Bergeron, Eileen Davidson, Kevin Frazier, Leeza Gibbons, Vicki Lawrence and Mario Lopez. They will be joined by the “Queens of Drama,” the co-hosts of “The Talk,” the co-hosts of the new lifestyle chat show “The FAB Life,” and several other big stars from “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless.”

While CBS is currently producing a latenight version of its popular daytime talk show this week, as it waits out the March launch of “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” that daytime version of “The Talk” has just surpassed ABC’s competiting “The View” in total viewers for the first time ever. During the week of January 5, “The Talk” had a 2% lead on “The View” in total viewers (2.95 million vs. 2.88 million). Meanwhile, both shows tied in both Women 25-54 (1.0 rating) and Women 18-49 (0.7 rating).
