With the recent surge of 80s-style clothing and accessories hitting the market, CBS has decided to launch a “Dynasty” jewelry collection completely inspired by the classic soap!

Several stars are set to shine at the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, some of which will also be presenting the golden statues on stage during the big night. But just who are the lucky personalities that will be handing the Outstanding Young Actor winner and the Outstanding Young Actress winner their coveted awards? Read on to find out!

The web series “Tainted Dreams” already has a long list of soap star talent, and now one more has been added to the roster: “Guiding Light” alum Grant Aleksander (ex-Phillip Spaulding)! The Maryland native, who also played “All My Children’s” Alec McIntyre, has signed on to play Adam Clark, the executive producer of “Painted Dreams,” the fictional show within the series.

Been missing seeing the wonderful Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane, “All My Children”) onscreen? Well fret not, pretty soap fans. The legendary lady has taken to the cameras and revealed a few teases about her upcoming series, “Devious Maids,” which premieres on Lifetime Sunday, June 23. What’s more, she further discusses a possible return to the soap that made her famous!

Former soap star Lindsay Price (ex-An Li Chen, “All My Children,” ex-Michael Lai, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) and celebrity chef Curtis Stone already share a child (seven-month-old Hudson), and they now officially share a life together, as well!

On Thursday, June 6, Prospect Park put “One Life to Live” on an earlier than planned production hiatus as a result of a labor dispute between the company and the I.A.T.S.E. (International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees)/Local 52, the union representing stage workers for both “OLTL” and “All My Children,” which alleges that Prospect Park has violated its labor agreement with the union. Previously, Prospect Park planned to begin the hiatus on Monday, June 17.

Hot off the heels of finishing the thriller “Scenic Route,” Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo du Pres, “All My Children”) has already landed a role in yet another indie drama. According to Deadline Hollywood, the former soap star has been cast opposite Maria Bello (“Touch”), Lucas Till (“X-Men First Class”) and Tom Everett Scott (“That Thing You Do!,” “An American Werewolf in Paris”) in “Strings,” directed by rookie Daniel Duran.

There was a time not that long ago when “All My Children’s” Chrishell Stause (ex-Amanda Dillon) — who’s been confirmed as a future cast member on “Days of our Lives” — seemed on top of the world. She and her boyfriend, “Glee” star Matthew Morrison, were as happy as could be and even announced their engagement in 2007. But shortly after the joyous news came out, the pair split. Fans have wondered how a relationship that was seemingly so wonderful could take such a drastic turn for the worse, and now Morrison himself is setting the record straight!

You’d think that because “The Young and the Restless’” Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Newman; ex-Annie Chandler, “All My Children”) has been an onscreen bride more times than she can count on one hand, her motto would be “matrimony, schmatrimony.” But when Soap Opera Network caught up with the blushing bride-to-be, that wasn’t the case at all! She was more than thrilled to open up about her upcoming big day and why her fiancé, Matt Katrosar, was able to so easily steal her heart.

The news that “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” have gone into early hiatus due to a union dispute with the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees (or I.A.T.S.E.) was a bit unsettling for fans of the sudsers. And as Robin Strasser (Dorian Lord, “OLTL”) reveals in her latest hotline message, the actors were just as surprised as the viewers about the drama!

Soap fans can hardly keep a lid on the excitement that’s been building for the premiere of Lifetime’s soapy series, “Devious Maids,” a dramady starring Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramírez, Roselyn Sánchez, Edy Ganem and Judy Reyes as five maids who have dreams and ambitions of their own, even though they work for wealthy bosses like Genevieve Delacourt (Susan Lucci, ex-Erica Kane, “All My Children”). And perhaps the excitement inspired the producers over at ABC’s “20/20,” as the news magazine program is premiering a special episode detailing the lives of some real-life help of super rich families!

There’d be no Pine Valley and no Llanview if it hadn’t been for “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” creator, Agnes Nixon. The 85-year-old penned both sudsers and consequently is responsible for putting thousands of people to work over the past 40-plus years. She’s received countless awards for her additions to the genre, most recently receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences during the 37th annual Daytime Emmy Awards in 2010. And Vincent Irizarry (David Hayward, “AMC”) thinks the legendary lady is overdue for yet another recognition!

Warner Bros. Pictures and Dark Castle Entertainment has released the first teaser trailer for “Getaway,” starring Ethan Hawke (“Training Day”) and Selena Gomez (“Wizards of Waverly Place”), which finds former race car driver Brent Magna (Hawke) pitted against the clock to save his recently kidnapped wife Leanne (Rebecca Budig, ex-Greenlee Smythe, “All My Children”). Brent commandeers a custom Shelby Cobra Mustang, taking it and its unwitting owner (Selena Gomez) on a high-speed race against time, at the command of the mysterious villain holding his wife hostage.

As previously reported, Prospect Park’s “All My Children,” and now “One Life to Live,” have been embroiled in a heated debate with I.A.T.S.E. (International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees)/Local 52, the union representing stage workers for the soaps, which alleges that Prospect Park has violated the labor agreement with the union. As a result, Prospect Park today announced that both soaps will halt production effective tomorrow, June 6.

As previously reported, “Drop Dead Diva” returns for an all-new season beginning Sunday, June 23 at 9:00 PM ET/PT on Lifetime. In the just released promo, we couldn’t help noticing former “All My Children” star Natalie Hall (ex-Colby Chandler)! According to a rep from Lifetime, Hall will be appearing as ‘Brittney” in a multi-episode arc, beginning with the Sunday, June 30 episode. It is understood that “Brittney” ties into the “New Jane” vs “Old Jane” storyline getting ready to kick off.
