Browsing: All My Children

Aired from 1970-2011 on ABC

Oprah Winfrey has come through for soap fans after all! For a special summer soap opera event, the legendary daytime star’s network has acquired the rights to the first 40 episodes of The OnLine Network’s “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” both of which will air for an exclusive 10-week limited engagement.

Prospect Park’s The OnLine Network announced earlier today its decision to release all weekly episodes of both “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” on Mondays, instead of the previously scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays for “AMC” and Tuesdays and Thursdays for “OLTL,” beginning Monday, July 1. Jeff Kwatinetz, co-founder, Prospect Park, tells Soap Opera Network via email, “The only difference is greater availability,” when asked how the change affects upcoming airdates of both soaps. “If [viewers] still want to watch one ep each day, or just an ‘AMC’ ep every Monday or Wed, there will be a new one there. If they want to watch the full weeks shows at once starting Monday they will all be there. This is completely giving MORE options to viewers. How could that be a bad thing?”

Beginning Monday, July 1, Prospect Park’s The OnLine Network will begin releasing brand new episodes of both “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” each week on Mondays. This means that instead of waiting for each Monday and Wednesday for a brand new “AMC” or Tuesday and Thursday for a brand new “OLTL,” the weeks worth of shows for both soaps will be made available each week on Mondays.

In an interview with Daytime Confidential, Terri Ivens (ex-Simone Torres, “All My Children”) revealed that she has joined the cast of the Sonia Blangiardo created online drama series “Tainted Dreams.”

While on the red carpet of the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, “All My Children” actresses Cady McClain (Dixie Martin), Denyse Tontz (Miranda Montgomery) and Sal Stowers (Cassandra Foster) gave Soap Opera Network the inside scoop on the summer filming hiatus of their soap, what lies ahead for their characters, and much, much more.

The OnLine Network has announced that on Wednesday, July 10, “All My Children” fans will finally get a chance to catch a glimpse of Alicia Minshew as Kendall Hart, who we recently discovered had divorced Zach Slater (Thorsten Kaye) between the end of the ABC incarnation to current TOLN version of the soap. Minshew appeared on the set of the online soap opera on Friday, March 8, when it was announced she’d be reprising her role as the eldest daughter of Erica Kane (Susan Lucci).

Life hasn’t exactly been easy for “All My Children’s” Miranda Montgomery, and her portrayer, Denyse Tontz, revealed to Soap Opera Network that the teen’s life is about to get even crazier!

There seems to be more drama going on behind the scenes over at “All My Children” than there is onscreen. But as Vincent Irizarry (David Hayward) tells Soap Opera Network, that will no longer be the case once the material by the sudser’s new headwriters, Lisa Connor and Chip Hayes, takes center stage.

If you’ve seen the scandalous “All My Children” love scene between Robert Scott Wilson’s Pete Cortlandt and Brooke Newton’s Colby Chandler, you’re well aware that the online sudser isn’t just pushing the envelope — they’re damn near shoving it! The shockingly sexy episode was even too much for YouTube, having been up only a short time before the website yanked it down. Soap Opera Network caught up with Wilson to get his take on the steamy scenes, as well as some other dirt regarding Pete’s escapades in Pine Valley.

With word that “All My Children’s” Eden Riegel (Bianca Montgomery) was with child, you’d think that would be enough for the writing team of The OnLine Network’s popular anytime soap to handle (deciding whether to somehow write it in or to not, if even remotely possible), but now comes word that another actress is also with child!

EXCLUSIVE: Leslie Miller, host of The OnLine Network’s “MORE” series, which brings viewers behind the scenes of the popular anytime soaps “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” along with Prospect Park co-founder, Rich Frank (her husband), chat with Soap Opera Network about the summer hiatus, the future of “MORE” and much, much more.

CNN’s Jake Tapper (“The Lead with Jake Tapper”) is scheduled to appear in an upcoming episode of The OnLine Network’s “All My Children,” it was announced today. The journalist will appear in the Monday, August 19 episode as TV investigative reporter Spencer Phillips.

“All My Children” made headlines with the oh, so steamy sex scene between Pete Cortlandt (Robert Scott Wilson) and Colby Chandler (Brooke Newton) last week, but can they replicate it this week when Cassandra Foster (Sal Stowers) is literally needing revival by the town punching bag, David Hayward (Vincent Irizarry), or when JR (Ryan Bittle) does something special for Cara (Lindsay Hartley)? You’ll have to tune into “AMC” during the weeks of June 17 and June 24 to find out, but Soap Opera Network has your first look at what’s ahead in those coming weeks!

TOLNSoaps, the official YouTube page for The OnLine Network, uploaded the scene to their page only to find the message “This video has been removed because its content violated YouTube’s Terms of Service.” Viewers were advised to click on the YouTube TOS page to learn more.
