As previously reported, “General Hospital’s” Emily Wilson (ex-Ellie Trout) announced that she will be appearing in an upcoming episode of ABC’s “Castle,” which Soap Opera Network has since learned will air on Monday, January 27.

Lifetime announced today that Sunday, April 20 at 10:00 PM ET/PT marks the grand return of its s newest primetime guilty pleasure, “Devious Maids.” According to the network, the season two opener will be directed by executive producer Eva Longoria, which will also marks Longoria’s television directorial debut.
Nominees for Outstanding Actor and Actress in a Daytime Drama Series were announced today for “The 45th NAACP Image Awards,” scheduled to air Saturday, February 22 on TV One. “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” were once again dominant in both acting categories.
According to Law360.com, Allison “Sam” Hall, a former co-head writer of ABC’s “One Life to Live,” is suing the network over what he claims are royalties owed since the soap transitioned to the web via Hulu and iTunes, and broadcast during summer 2013 on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network), courtesy of Prospect Park – the company that licensed the rights to both programs from Disney/ABC in 2011. Hall reportedly filed his complaint against American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. (ABC) on Tuesday, January 7, in New York. Hall was named co-head writer of the soap in 1984, and remained with the series until 1985.
As previously reported, allegations that “The Young and the Restless'” Michael Muhney groped a female co-star’s breasts, which is reportedly what led to his firing last month, made headlines over the weekend when TMZ got wind of the rumors spreading throughout social media and soap opera message boards several weeks back. In announcing his firing on Tuesday, December 17, Muhney used Twitter as his outlet of choice. Since then, he’s been virtually silent, at least until now.
With its lineup consisting of soaps “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful,” game shows “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal,” and talker “The Talk,” CBS Daytime posted double-digit growth during the fourth quarter in viewers compared to the year-ago period, while each series was up or even in Women 25-54 and Women 18-49. On today’s episode of NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” Chandler Massey says goodbye to his multi-Daytime Emmy Award winning role of Will Horton. As previously reported, Massey planned to depart the daytime drama series when his contract was set to expire in December 2013, but show producers opted instead to replace the actor upon his completion of his filming of scenes in August of last year, citing the exit as being storyline dictated. Daytime newcomer Guy Wilson took over the role when he began filming scenes in September. He begins airing on Wednesday, January 8.
