By now you’ve probably heard that “Days of our Lives” is on a two-week hiatus so that NBC can broadcast the Tokyo Olympics. The last episode before the break aired on Thursday, July 22. To whet your appetite for when the show returns with all-new episodes on Monday, August 9, the soap has released a teaser that’s filled with lots of drama.
In the teaser, the announcer says, “‘Days of our Lives’ will be back after the Olympics. Until then, enjoy the hurdles, gymnastics, diving, surfing, fencing, wrestling, shooting, baseball, boxing, and shot put. ‘DAYS’ returns Monday, August 9th on NBC.”
From the promo, several characters are seen exercising in the traditional sense, and the not-so-traditional, while others are getting knocked over the head, showing off their gold medals, pulling at each other’s hair, someone getting shot and others throwing things across the room in anger after not getting their way. Just typical life in Salem.
