Backstreet Boys band member AJ McLean will be appearing on “Days of our Lives” in the coming months the singer announced recently on TikTok to his 1.2 million followers. The video has since amassed more than 50,000 views.
“So, I am here currently at Burbank Studios where back in the day we actually used to do the ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,’” teased McLean in the video. “One of my biggest dreams is coming true today. There was a certain daytime TV show that my grandmother and I used to watch when I was growing up. I’ll drop a couple of hints… Bo, Hope, Patch. Ring a bell? Well, yours truly is making a guest appearance as a driver — that’s my name on the show — on this show right here.”
Showing the famous “DAYS” studio doors featuring the show’s logo and a sketched image of Tom and Alice Horton, among others, McLean added, “Boom! Oh, my god! I’m freaking out! This is so exciting. I hope I make you proud grandma.” He ended the video by blowing a kiss to his fans, saying, “Love you guys. Stay tuned for these are the ‘Days of our Lives.’”
“Thanks to everyone here today making my experience on ‘DOOL’! A success,” wrote McLean in the caption for the video. “Love to the cast and everyone that made this dream come true! Let’s go!” He filmed his cameo on Wednesday, July 21.
No word yet on when McLean’s appearance on the show will air but it looks like it’ll be many months away as the show is currently filming roughly four to six months ahead of airdate.
