As previously reported, Michelle Stafford (ex-Phyllis Summers, “The Young and the Restless”) has joined the cast of ABC’s “General Hospital” as the not so comatose Nina Clay, Silas’ (Michael Easton) until recently thought to be dead wife. With ABC promising fans that the truth surrounding Nina’s mysterious circumstances will reveal itself in the weeks and months to come, as her tangled web of family history starts to unravel, the network is providing viewers with a snippet of Stafford’s debut in case they missed it when it aired on Thursday, May 1.
In response to rampant rumors that she will soon be joining the cast of “General Hospital” in the role of Nina, the comatose wife of Michael Easton’s Silas Clay, Michelle Stafford (ex-Phyllis Summers, “The Young and the Restless”) has taken to social media to dispel said rumors. The actress tweeted last night, “I want u all to remember as u drift off to sleep…people who start rumors have super little pee pees…,” before wishing her fans and followers a good night’s sleep. A look back at “One Life to Live” two years after the show ended its run on ABC. How the show evolved and became one of the most popular daytime dramas of all time.
As a result of the Friday, December 20 preemption, ABC’s “General Hospital’s” is currently behind in its airing schedule. What that means is that the previously scheduled “Home for the Holidays” themed episode set to air today, will instead air on Friday, December 27. Also shifted is the debut of “GH” newcomer Ryan Paevey in the contract role of Nathan West. The character, who was originally set to debut on tomorrow’s episode, will instead debut on the Monday, December 30 episode in scenes alongside Kirsten Storms’ Maxie Jones, who seeks to get out of town just as Port Charles gets ready to celebrate the New Year as a result of the recent baby drama and the need to clear her head. In real-life, Storms is headed for maternity leave as she’s due to give birth in January to a little girl by husband and former “GH” co-star, Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny Zacchara).
As previously reported, ABC’s “Home for the Holidays” special event will be hitting “General Hospital.” Soap Opera Network has learned that Christopher Allen, a real life United States military veteran who served four years in the U.S. Air Force, will be appearing on the Thursday, December 26 episode as military veteran CPO Hicks.
The drama just never stops for Prospect Park’s “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” with the latest shocking news regarding the online sudsers coming from the L.A. Times. According to the publication, Prospect Park is shelving ‘One Life to Live’ until the lawsuit it launched against ABC in April is resolved. Additionally, the company will focus on producing “AMC,” with writers having already started work on scripts for the second season of the show.

With the returns of Roger Howarth, Kristen Alderson and Michael Easton (as new characters whose names are currently unconfirmed by ABC, although at present we’re hearing the character name “Jordan” for Alderson) to the Port Charles canvas and the debut of Maura West as Ava Jerome (first airdate scheduled for Wednesday, May 8), the drama is only getting hotter on ABC’s “General Hospital” this week.
In a new posting on his Facebook page, Michael Easton (ex-John McBain, “One Life to Live” and “General Hospital”) says, “SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS…to my family of friends in their new venture. I know you’re going to be a big hit…” The actors comments are understood to be in reference to the re-launches of both “OLTL” and “All My Children,” which premiere today on Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes.

May sweeps are a month away, but it looks like the upcoming onscreen drama won’t be able to hold a candle to the real-life drama brewing between Prospect Park’s “One Life to Live” and ABC’s “General Hospital.”
Last week, Soap Opera Network featured a Center Stage interview with “One Life to Live’s” legendary veteran, Erika Slezak (Victoria Lord). She opened up about the future of ‘OLTL,’ working with the fresh, young faces on the show, and what it’s been like to have show creator Agnes Nixon back at the helm. No word yet on when we might return to work but the fridge is stocked, the bills are paid, and I get to spend lots of precious time with my little girl.”
