With “General Hospital” not airing an original episode since Monday, January 20 due to impeachment trial coverage, and an indefinite date as to when its next new episode will air, stars from the daytime drama are asking viewers to stay tuned to the show’s social channels for updates as to when they can expect their favorite daytime drama back in originals.
In a video shared on its social channels, actors Michael Easton (Hamilton Finn), Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) and Jophielle Love (Violet Barnes) are shown fresh from filming a future episode of “GH” as they thank viewers for watching the series while telling fans to keep following the show online for updates on when to catch the next all-new episode.
Four days of impeachment coverage has led to a national preemption of the soap with the exception of some markets being provided re-run airings in place of an original where necessary. On Thursday, January 23, ABC aired an episode from September 9, 2019 (episode #14,382) and on Friday, January 24, a re-run from September 12, 2019 (episode #14,385) was provided to impacted markets and in Canada.
