Trevor St. John’s first acting gig was courtesy of the 1993 film “Benny & Joon.” Although he was only a stand-in for Aidan Quinn’s character, Benjamin “Benny” Pearl,” the actor credits the experience for giving him that certain bug. “The energy and pace of the movie set really caught my interest and was the reason I chose Los Angeles over New York. I’ve wanted to relive that feeling ever since.”

Hulu, the new exclusive home for online viewing of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” has released the first official trailer on its website highlighting cast and crew from both series as they worked behind the scenes for their photo shoot, which took place on Wednesday, February 27 in Sleepy Hollow, NY at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club. Additionally, Hulu has relaunched its “AMC” and “OLTL” web pages where you can be kept up to date on the latest happenings in Pine Valley and Llanview.
Soon after Soap Opera Network reported that TOLN had revealed new logos for both “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” the production company has now revealed more new logos. As seen on their social media sites, Twitter and Facebook, “AMC’s” initial logo now has life put into it instead of a plain white background, while “OLTL” is now at the center between heaven (black) and hell (red). The theme for “One Life” looks to play off of the fact that the series was originally supposed to be titled “Between Heaven and Hell” before ABC settled on the finished product way back when.

With “All My Children” already under production and “One Life to Live” set to begin next week, soap fans have been anxiously awaiting their much anticipated online debuts. After months of speculating, Prospect Park finally reveals the date both shows will debut on Hulu and iTunes. Starting Monday, April 29 at noon ET, fans will get their first glimpse of Pine Valley and Llanview 2.0.
Prospect Park’s much anticipated online revivals of long-running soaps “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” continue to inch closer to reality as both shows are scheduled to go into production in the coming weeks ahead of their excepted launch dates on Hulu (and iTunes) sometime in April.
What a difference a year makes, huh “One Life to Live” fans? Looking back through the Soap Opera Network archives, I happened upon the last column that I had written. It was November 30, 2011, nearly two weeks after Prospect Park made the now infamous decision to scrap their plans to revive “OLTL” online, just five days after the soap wrapped production on its ABC run. And now here we are just over a year later, with that plan seemingly resurrected and “One Life,” along with sister soap “All My Children,” a month away from resuming production for new episodes on the internet.
Earlier today we reported on word that Prospect Park would not be airing online episodes of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” on TOLN/The OnLine Network, as had originally been expected, following today’s announcement by the company that Hulu, the green internet hub owned by The Walt Disney Company, Comcast and News Corp., had acquired digital distribution rights to both series via Hulu’s subscription and free-to-view platforms. In a blog posting on its website, Hulu clarified that news report.
In a press release issued just a short time ago, Prospect Park has announced that “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” will premiere on Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes.
The world’s longest-running current soap opera, ITV’s “Coronation Street,” is finally heading to America, Soap Opera Network has learned. The program, which began broadcasting on December 9, 1960, will begin airing recent episodes via Hulu and Hulu Plus effective tomorrow, January 15 at 6:00 AM EST. Fans will have access to eleven episodes from the current season plus two “Christmas Special” bonus episodes – packed full of weddings, birthdays, affairs, and betrayals.
If you love your “Revenge,” you will most likely also enjoy a series of “Deception.” Debuting Monday, January 7 at 10:00 PM ET/9:00 PM CT on NBC, “Deception” tells the story of Vivian Bowers, a wealthy socialite and notorious party girl who appears to have died from a drug overdose. In actuality, it looks like Vivian may have been murdered. Portraying the role of the dead is former “One Life to Live” star Bree Williamson, who can be seen in the first act of the series pilot as an alive Vivian just before her death, while seen subsequently in various flashbacks and imagery.
According to ABC Soaps in Depth, “General Hospital” has cast actor Christian Monzon in the recurring role of Eddie Cabrera – the onscreen husband of Delores Padilla (portrayed by Rebeka Montoya). While the character had been discussed on numerous occasions for several months, it wasn’t clear if he would ever be seen. A first airdate is set for the week of April 16.
