Sunday, June 23 can’t come fast enough, because that’s when “All My Children” fans are going to go gaga over Susan Lucci’s (ex-Erica Kane) debut as Genevieve Delatour on Lifetime’s “Devious Maids”! The dramady, which was dreamed up by “Desperate Housewives” creator, Marc Cherry, and is executive produced by “Housewives” star Eva Longoria (ex-Isabella Williams, “The Young and the Restless”), is already making waves as a can’t-miss hit. And luckily, Entertainment Tonight has released a first look at the maids who will no doubt be causing La Lucci loads of trouble!

“General Hospital” premiered April 1, 1963 on ABC. The series airs weekdays on ABC. Anytime on Hulu.
While CBS has the most nominations amongst all television networks, the Disney/ABC Television Group is the most honored programming group with nominations for the ABC Television Network, Disney Channel, Disney XD, Syndicated programming, and more. The television arm of The Walt Disney Company highlights their nominations below:
As previously reported, the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards were announced earlier today on “Good Morning America.” While not all categories were released during the ABC broadcast, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has since revealed that CBS leads all broadcast and cable networks with a total of 50 nominations in multiple categories with PBS in second place with 44 and ABC third with 38.
After months of anticipation, The National Academy of Television, Arts & Sciences has announced the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Award nominations! So without further adieu, let’s get down to the list, which features some of your absolute very favorites in the running for the coveted golden statue!
It’s been nearly two years since Erin Chambers last appeared as “General Hospital’s” Siobhan McKenna, and it looks like the actress (who also played “Days of our Lives” Lacey Hansen) is headed back to soap, this time on “The Young and the Restless”!
Considering that Martha Madison (Marly Nelson-Foster, “The Bay,” ex-Belle Black, “Days of Our Lives,” ex-Elizabeth Webber, “General Hospital) married her husband, AJ Gilbert, back in 2007, the couple has no doubt heard the phrase, “So, when are you having kids?” a few thousand times. And now the pair has an answer!
In a new posting on his Facebook page, Michael Easton (ex-John McBain, “One Life to Live” and “General Hospital”) says, “SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS…to my family of friends in their new venture. I know you’re going to be a big hit…” The actors comments are understood to be in reference to the re-launches of both “OLTL” and “All My Children,” which premiere today on Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes.
According to a report in The New York Times, highlighting tomorrow’s launch of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” via Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes, the gold standard publication revealed that Prospect Park, the company behind the new “AMC” and “OLTL,” also holds the licensing rights to “General Hospital” in the event ABC decides to cancel the soap too!
When “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” debut with brand new episodes on Monday, April 29 on Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes, they will have the full support of CBS Daytime. Angelica McDaniel, Senior Vice President, CBS Daytime, wishes Rich Frank and Jeff Kwatinetz, whose Prospect Park licensed the two soaps from ABC in 2011, nothing but the best. She relays via Soap Opera Network, “Congratulations and best of luck on the success. Your success is our success and vice versa. And it’s just a thrilling new experience and I look forward to seeing where the journey takes you.”
An ABC representative has confirmed to Soap Opera Network that Maura West (ex-Carly Snyder, “As The World Turns”; ex-Diane Jenkins, “The Young and the Restless”) is joining the cast of “General Hospital” as Ava Jerome. West is scheduled to debut during the week of May 6, which promises viewers will see “tons of exciting things happening that week.”
The behind-the-scenes drama that’s been brewing since Prospect Park filed a lawsuit against ABC on April 18 is about to get even soapier! According to a story in The Hollywood Reporter, Prospect Park producers wished to buy ad space for the revived “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” during broadcast soaps (“General Hospital,” “Days of our Lives,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and “The Young and the Restless”), but CBS and NBC allegedly refused to help promote the competition — and in light of the $25 million lawsuit Prospect Park launched against ABC, the alphabet network won’t be running spots for the show, either!
Ratings Report for the Week of April 15-19, 2013
“General Hospital’s” Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and A.J. Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) will make the ol’ battle of the sexes debate seem rather blaze when they whip out their spoons and have an epic battle of… brace yourselves… condiments! Yep, that’s right: The onscreen aunt and nephew are taking their rivalry to the next level, starting when Tracy learns that A.J. has been booked on “The Chew” to showcase his Pickle-Lila recipe. When the fiery female hears the news, she hits up her new business partner, Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) to help her crash the show!
Ratings Report for the Week of April 8-12, 2013
As first noted on our Twitter page, when pressed for comment on the news that Prospect Park had filed a lawsuit against the network over an apparent breach in their licensing agreement with Prospect Park, ABC tells Soap Opera Network, “We haven’t seen the complaint or been served so we can’t comment.”
Whoever said soaps were dying sure didn’t have a reliable crystal ball: “General Hospital” is at it again with yet another week of climbing ratings! As the show’s 50th Anniversary continued through the week of April 8, the show saw an 18-month high in women ages 18-49, placing it in the number two spot in the demos and — you better believe it — generating the biggest year-to-year increase of any broadcast daytime program! Read on for the official press release containing more information regarding “GH’s” upsweep.
Message board posters circulated a rumor days ago that daytime newcomer Bryan Craig had been tapped to step into the role of “General Hospital’s” Morgan, and a rep for the show has now confirmed it’s true! And that means residents of Port Charles better watch out, because the reintegration of Sonny’s son onto the canvas is likely to be anything but smooth!
General Hospital Promo for the week of April 15, 2013
Shortly after news first broke that Roger Howarth, Kristen Alderson and Michael Easton would be returning to “General Hospital” as new characters, I tweeted, “Hearing Prospect Park won the character battle between it and ABC. More details on this matter forthcoming.” Those details are now ready to be revealed!
Although a show spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment at press time, a representative for Lindsey Morgan has informed Soap Opera Network that the actress has already appeared in her last episodes of ABC’s “General Hospital.”
