With sudden word that Tristan Rogers would soon be departing ABC’s “General Hospital,” one could only imagine what may have been the catalyst behind the actor’s decision. Looks like a move [back] to “The Young and the Restless” may have persuaded the actor to say goodbye once more to Port Charles’ Robert Scorpio and hello again to Genoa City’s Colin Atkinson, Cane Ashby’s (Daniel Goddard) father. A spokesperson for the CBS drama series confirms to Soap Opera Network that the actor is returning to the soap in early 2014.
On Tuesday, November 12, “The Young and the Restless'” Jess Walton (Jill Foster Abbott) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) answered fan questions via CBS Connect, the premiere online social connection platform amongst the broadcast networks, which includes live chats with CBS stars via Twitter. According to Daniel Goddard, the citizens of Genoa City will mourn the loss of Katherine Chancellor in episodes scheduled to air on Tuesday, September 3 and Wednesday, September 4 of CBS’ “The Young and the Restless.” Goddard, who portrays Cane Ashby on the daytime drama series, noted on his Facebook page that the episodes were filmed on Tuesday. He posted, “Huge day on set today just got home have to be back in 10 hours. How was ur day?” after completing filming.
Beginning Monday, July 15 and lasting through Tuesday, July 23, stars from CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” will be tweeting live with fans during the east coast broadcast of the top-rated daytime drama series.
