Today marks the first day of the all-important February Sweeps ratings period, and “The Young and the Restless” went all out with not only dramatic scenes between besties Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), but also a gripping face-off between Billy (Billy Miller) and Adam (Michael Muhney) that led to both actors’ final appearance on the show!

On Tuesday, November 12, “The Young and the Restless'” Jess Walton (Jill Foster Abbott) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) answered fan questions via CBS Connect, the premiere online social connection platform amongst the broadcast networks, which includes live chats with CBS stars via Twitter. Using the hashtag #AskYR, the chat with fans lasted roughly 35 minutes, which included questions varying from discussion on the Veterans day episodes, whether or not the ladies were able to come up with plots or storylines for their characters, which is particularly reserved for the writers of the show, as well as what their very first acting jobs were, just to name a few of the questions.

In an interview published in the newest issue of Soap Opera Digest, on sale now, “The Young and the Restless'” Michelle Stafford reveals the real reason behind her decision to exit the top rated daytime drama series after 15 years portraying the role of Phyllis Summers, whether the powers that be (TPTB) ever tried to change her mind and her thoughts on the soap possibly recasting the character.

For five days only, fans of Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher, “The Young and the Restless”) can see the actor take part in “Snapshots,” a theatrical benefit that looks to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure event. Rikaart will be starring in a one-act at benefit, which is scheduled to run from Wednesday, July 10 through Sunday, July 14 at the Stella Adler Theater in Hollywood, CA.
