Although he’s finished his time at “The Young and the Restless” after his character, Joe Clark, was arrested for setting up Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) for extortion on the Friday, December 11 episode of the CBS Daytime drama series, actor Scott Elrod is moving on in the new year with an upcoming guest appearance on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and news that he’ll be a first time daddy with girlfriend Vanessa Vazart.

The month of December is bringing plenty of baby news with such daytime stars as Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane, “Days of our Lives”) and Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) expecting their first bundles of joy with their spouses in the coming year, and now comes word that former “B&B” star Adam Gregory (ex-Thomas Forrester) is expecting his second child with wife, Sheridan.

Congratulations are in order for “Days of our Lives” actress Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane). The actress and her husband, entrepreneur Grant Turnbull, are expecting their first child in May 2016.

Bad news for “The Young and the Restless'” Daniel Goddard. He’s on his way to the hospital to have emergency surgery, due to complications from an injury he incurred on the set of the CBS soap two months ago.

On Wednesday, August 12, former “American Idol” contestant and “The Bold and the Beautiful” alum Constantine Maroulis (ex-Constantine Parros) was arrested for allegedly kicking the mother of his child in the groin, reports TMZ. “The mother of Constantine’s 4-year-old daughter called 911 from their home in Wyckoff, New Jersey claiming he threw her to the ground and kicked her in the groin,” the website cites a law enforcement source as saying.

Congratulations are in order for “The Young and the Restless'” Mishael Morgan (Hilary Curtis), who welcomed her son, Niam, into the world with husband, Navid. This is their first child together. “Cats out da bag #yrfanevent Introducing Niam!!! Thx 4 all your ❤️ & support during this time in my life!” wrote the actress on Twitter during last night’s bi-annual biennial Fan Club Dinner for the daytime soap opera.

Susan Lucci, former star of “All My Children” (ex-Erica Kane) and a “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, will be joined by Blondie legend Debbie Harry, Christie Brinkley and Brooke Shields for a comedic reading of the 2010 release, “Kardashian Konfidential,” reports The New York Post. The ladies will each be taking on the role of one of the Kardashian sisters – Kourtney, Kim and Khloe – as part of the Celebrity Autobiography performance show on Friday, August 21 at the Guild Hall in East Hampton.

Congratulations are in order for “General Hospital’s” Jason Thompson (Patrick Drake), who wed long-time girlfriend, Paloma Jonas, co-founder and Los Angeles based designer of Valentine NYC. The two were wed on Easter Sunday, April 5, in an intimate ceremony on the beach in San Pancho, Mexico, according to photos published on social media. The two got engaged last July.

Nutrisystem, Inc. announced last week that Genie Francis (“General Hospital,” “The Young and the Restless”) is its new brand ambassador. The iconic former soap star is said to have lost 30 pounds while on the weight loss program, which she started after losing her sister in 2013 and following her oldest child, son Jameson Ivor Frakes, heading off to college.

In a story we’ve been following since its early beginning, Colleen Bell, a producer on “The Bold and the Beautiful” and the wife of Bradley P. Bell, the show’s head writer and executive producer, has officially been named the U.S. Ambassador to Hungary, reports ABC News. Her confirmation didn’t go without a hitch, however, as Senator John McCain took a strong stand against her confirmation on the Senate floor earlier today.

Appearing on episodes of “Days of our Lives” and “The Young and the Restless,” actor and model Corey Sligh was first hit by a car and then beaten by the vehicle’s driver on Thanksgiving Day, shortly after Sligh and his girlfriend, Alisa Berhorst, went to bring a friend a Thanksgiving meal at a Rite Aid in West Hollywood, CA. Sligh and his girlfriend reportedly saw two gentlemen in their vehicle driving at high speeds doing donuts in the parking lot.
