As previously reported, “General Hospital” star Josh Swickard (Chase) and his wife Lauren are expecting their second child. In a recent post on Instagram, the couple announced the sex of the baby following a gathering of friends and family for Lauren’s baby shower.
“ITS A BOYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!” captioned Swickard alongside a photo of the pair standing next to a chalkboard sign that read “Welcome to Lauren’s Baby Shower.” Lauren is shown holding a blue iced cupcake while cupping her grown belly. The proud dad stands beside her with nothing but a smile.
In October, the couple shared their baby news for the first time in a joint Instagram post, saying, “WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER BABY!!!!!! Feeling so grateful to be on this journey again.” They included the hashtag “2under2,” referencing the couple having their second child in under two years. Last year, they welcomed a baby girl named Savannah Kaye Swickard.
Outside of parenthood and “General Hospital,” Josh can be seen in “A Hollywood Christmas,” currently available to stream on HBO Max. Described as a “clever movie-within-a-movie twist,” the romantic comedy stars Jessika Van as Jessica, a director of Christmas movies who finds herself living her own holiday story when she meets Christopher, a handsome network executive who shows up threatening to halt production on her latest movie. When Jessica’s assistant, Reena (Anissa Borrego), points out the irony: Jessica isn’t just trying to save her Christmas movie, she’s actually living in one! Jessica must now juggle all the classic tropes—actors falling in and out of love, a wayward elf dog, and her own stirring romantic feelings for her perceived nemesis—in order to get her movie and her life to their happy endings. The film also stars Riley Dandy, Zak Steiner, Tom Williamson and Missi Pyle.
