Spencer Neville has joined the cast of NBC’s “Days of our Lives” in the recurring role of Derrick. The actor/model/bodybuilder, who is reportedly set to appear in more than a dozen episodes beginning sometime next week, posted on his Facebook page in early September, “Big news coming soon on a TV show I’ve been working on…they are very secretive..” It’s not yet clear whether the actor was referring to his “DAYS” role or another project he may have been working on at the time. The “DAYS” episodes that feature Neville were filmed in late July/early August.

In a story we’ve been following since its early beginning, Colleen Bell, a producer on “The Bold and the Beautiful” and the wife of Bradley P. Bell, the show’s head writer and executive producer, has officially been named the U.S. Ambassador to Hungary, reports ABC News. It seems like forever ago since we reported Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane, “All My Children”) got a wonderful surprise while visiting NBCUniversal’s syndicated daytime talker, “The Meredith Vieira Show,” via a reunion of sorts with former “AMC” co-star, Walt Willey (ex-Jackson Montgomery). In your first look at the episode, airing Tuesday, December 2, Lucci tells host Meredith Vieira how her character on the ABC Daytime soap opera helped many immigrants learn to speak English. Later the two take part in a Soap Opera Showdown, which included Willey as a surprise participant alongside Lucci.
Call it a coincidence of sorts if you like but CBS’ “The Talk” today announced the three finalists for the ultimate prize of becoming “The Price is Right’s” next male model, and their names all just so happen to start with the letter “J.”
For the week of November 17-21, 2014, CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” hit a season high in total viewers with an average of 5.06 million viewers tuning in each day. “The Bold and the Beautiful” also attracted its second largest weekly audience of the season with 3.74 million viewers. It’s “General Hospital” like you’ve never seen before when Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis Davis on the soap, takes viewers behind the scenes of daytime’s most dynamic soap opera via her new ABC.com series, “General Hospital Now,” which the actress had been teasing on social media for several weeks.
As previously reported, Brandon Barash is reprising the role of Johnny Zacchara on ABC’s “General Hospital” and it looks like he’s set to mark his return this week when Johnny comes face to face with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), at least that’s how it appears in the promo for this week’s worth of episodes. “Wait. What? Johnny’s back this week?!” tweeted Barash shortly after the promo was released.
One year ago today actor Paul Walker (ex-Brandon Collins, “The Young and the Restless”) died in a fiery car accident that also took the life of his friend Roger Rodas, CEO of Always Evolving, who was driving the red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT vehicle they were in at the time when it crashed into a tree and exploded.
Appearing on episodes of “Days of our Lives” and “The Young and the Restless,” actor and model Corey Sligh was first hit by a car and then beaten by the vehicle’s driver on Thanksgiving Day, shortly after Sligh and his girlfriend, Alisa Berhorst, went to bring a friend a Thanksgiving meal at a Rite Aid in West Hollywood, CA. Sligh and his girlfriend reportedly saw two gentlemen in their vehicle driving at high speeds doing donuts in the parking lot.
An odd question for sure, but while on his book tour promoting his newest title, “The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year,” Bravo TV executive and “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen was recently posed the question, “If Susan Lucci [ex-Erica Kane, ‘All My Children’] showed up at your door naked, what would you do?” For reference: He’d give her a robe!
It is with great sadness to report that Julian St. John, son of “The Young and the Restless'” Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters), has died. News of Julian’s passing came to light from a posting by his mother, Mia, on Saturday, November 29. Julian St. John died on Sunday, November 23 from an apparent suicide.
With Craig Ferguson set to step down as host of “The Late Late Show” on Friday, December 19, CBS has announced that following re-runs of the late night talk show, special editions will be produced featuring rotating guest hosts and special after-dark editions of CBS Daytime’s “The Talk” from Monday, January 5 – Friday, March 6, 2015 (12:37-1:37 AM, ET/PT).
