‘General Hospital,’ ‘The View’ and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Among Several to Hit Season Highs

Every daytime broadcast show saw week-to-week gains among Total Viewers with “The Bold and the Beautiful” (3.091 million) gaining the most viewers overall, up +187,000 viewers, followed by “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” (1.682 million, up +114,000 viewers, and the second half-hour of “The Price is Right” (4.401 million), up +106,000 viewers, respectively. “The Bold and the Beautiful” also gained the most viewers year-to-year, up +238,000, and the most compared to the same week in 2020, up +336,000. This week marked a season high for the half-hour drama and was the soap’s best performance among Total Viewers since the week of July 25-29, 2022 (3.091 million vs. 3.174 million).

Also hitting a season high among Total Viewers, “General Hospital” (2.242 million) attracted its largest overall audience since the week of May 16-20, 2022 (2.242 million vs. 2.244 million). The soap was up +91,000 viewers week-to-week and up +139,000 viewers compared to the same week last year. In fact, compared to its performance in 2020, “General Hospital” was up +213,000 viewers, the second largest gain behind only “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Further, “General Hospital” was up in Women 18-49 and Women 25-54 rating compared to its performance one week earlier, one year earlier and in 2020. Additional shows hitting a season high in Total Viewers include “The View” (2.387 million), the first half-hour of “The Price is Right” (3.918 million), both half hours of “Let’s Make a Deal” (2.380 million / 2.778 million) and “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna,” the latter of which also gained viewers compared to the same week last year (+127,000) and in 2020 (+46,000).

“The Talk” was up week-to-week among Total Viewers, gaining +97,000 viewers, and was up a smidge compared to its performance one year earlier (+16,000 viewers). The show was flat among viewers compared to 2020, but the daytime talker did hit a new season high in Women 25-54 rating, marking its best performance in the demo since the week of May 9-13, 2022.

What follows is a breakdown of how the daytime broadcast shows performed during the week of November 14-18, 2022 in Women 18-49 rating, Women 25-54 rating, Households and Total Viewers, including a look at their comparable performance in 2021 and 2020, respectively.
