When it was first announced that Blake Berris would be part of the cast of the Peacock original movie “Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas,” despite his “Days of our Lives” character having already been killed off some years earlier, we noted in our story that it was likely that Nick Fallon might have ties to the Christmas tradition of celebrating the name “Nicholas,” either in song or as Santa himself. Based on a recent post on Instagram by Berris, it looks like our theory is seemingly being proven correct, with the latter perspective in mind.

In a photo shared from a dressing room he used at the Burbank Studios lot where the holiday movie was filmed, Berris is shown putting on what appears to be Santa’s pants while a Santa hat and beard hang on the back of the door. “You’ll see Nick as you’ve never seen him before…,” read the caption of Berris’ post which included the “eyes looking around” emoji.

Considering Nick made a return visit to Salem in recent weeks as part of the “Days of our Lives” Halloween episodes, and remains part of the dead, it’ll be an interesting twist to see what this iteration of the character plays in the overall theme of Christmas when the film premieres next month on Peacock.

In the holiday movie, Will Horton (Chandler Massey) writes a screenplay before his Christmas Eve deadline. Using everyone’s favorite feel-good holiday movie tropes, he creates a festive story based on his family and friends in Salem — but with several twists and turns viewers will never see coming.

In addition to Berris and Massey, the cast includes Deidre Hall, Jackée Harry, Drake Hogestyn, Camila Banus, Arianne Zucker, Raven Bowens, Eric Martsolf, Billy Flynn, Paul Telfer, Lindsay Arnold, Lucas Adams, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel, Zach Tinker, Eileen Davidson and Alison Sweeney.

“Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas” will stream beginning Thursday, December 16 on Peacock. For more information, visit peacockTV.com.
