Quoting a lyric from the Ice Cube song “Check Yourself,” “General Hospital” alum Kimberly McCullough (ex-Dr. Robin Scorpio) is weighing in on the controversy surrounding her former colleague Ingo Rademacher (Jasper “Jax” Jacks) and his stance on vaccine mandates.

In a response to a report by Deadline, which Soap Opera Network has been covering all week, McCullough was disheartened to learn of what Rademacher had been saying about vaccinations and his being against forcing mandates on people who choose not to get vaccinated.

She tweeted, “This hurts to know this is happening in my old stomping grounds.” She added, “Ingo… when I see your Instagram rant I’m reminded of a certain lyric… “you betta check yourself before ya wreck yourself.’”

In response to people using the hashtag “fire Ingo,” Rademacher took to Instagram and said, “To do something [using the hashtag] like that to another person just shows the kind of character you have, the kind of person that you are… you’re a horrible, horrible person, first of all. But, that said, I would never in a million years do that to you.” He added, “Try to reverse the roles just for a bit and think that because we have a difference of opinion, I now went to your boss and said, ‘You should fire that person because I believe my opinion is right and my opinion should be the only one that counts.’ If you were in charge of this country you’d be a dictator. It’s not a democracy anymore when you can’t have open debate about something. You can disagree but what you can’t do is go to my boss and say fire me because I have a difference of opinion. That’s crossing the line, okay, now you’re a bigot.”

At press time, McCullough’s tweet had received over 250 retweets and 1,100 likes.
