‘Y&R’ Surges Back to Number One, Hits 11-Month High in Viewers

"The Young and the Restless" takes back its number one position in total viewers during the week of March 23-27, 2020.

One week after losing its position as daytime’s most-watched drama series for the first time in over 31 years, CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” surged back to claim the top spot. The series hit an 11-month high in Total Viewers (since the week of April 15-19, 2019), averaging 4.21 million viewers during the week of March 23-27, 2020. “Y&R” gained 765,000 compared to one week earlier.

“The Bold and the Beautiful,” which claimed the number one spot in viewers and all key sales demos last week, also gained in viewers. With 3.66 million viewers tuned in, the soap gained 40,000 viewers week-to-week and hit its largest weekly audience since the week of March 19-23, 2018 — a two-year high.
