Since last appearing as a contract player on NBC’s “Days of our Lives” in November 2018, fans have long wondered if they’d ever get to see Vanessa Williams back as the sassy Valerie Grant. The show has granted their wish and the actress is set for a return visit to Salem just in time for the all-important May Sweeps period.
Soap Opera Network has learned that Valerie’s return is set to coincide with the mayoral race between Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford).
On Wednesday, May 1, Valerie will give Abe a shock when she shows up at the mayoral debate. How will Valerie’s return impact Abe’s relationship with Sheila (Tionne T-Boz Watkins)? You’ll just have to tune in to find out!
Williams’ return is expected to be brief.
