Former “General Hospital” actress Jaime Ray Newman (ex-Kristina Davis) is heading to A&E’s “Bates Motel” for a major recurring role in the upcoming fourth season of the hit series, reports Deadline.

According to the publication, Newman will portray Rebecca Hamilton, an old girlfriend of Alex Romero (Nestor Carbonell) who continues to hold a flame for her former lover.

“So proud and super happy to join the amazing team of Bates Motel!” wrote Newman on Twitter after news of her joining the series came to light.

“Bates Motel” is a prequel series based on the infamous horror film, “Psycho,” and follows the tales of Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) and her son, Norman (Freddie Highmore).

In addition to her brief stint on “GH,” Newman has had a series regular role on such shows as the now canceled “Wicked City,” “Mind Games” and “Red Widow.” She’s appeared in episodes of “Bosch,” “Franklin & Bash” and “Drop Dead Diva.”
