(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — On Monday, August 23, online websites and social networks were going crazy over news that ABC's "One Life to Live" has called in all of its contract cast members to be at the studio on Thursday, August 26 for what was presumed to be a big meeting to discuss whether or not the show would be A) Moving to the West Coast, B) Getting its budget slashed, again or C) Getting canceled. Fortunately, neither is happening.

Setside sources have confirmed to Soap Opera Network that the big meeting taking place at the "One Life to Live" studio is nothing more than updates on what are essentially just house rules and scheduling actor vacations during the holiday season. In fact, these types of meetings happen 3 to 4 times a year for the show as Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, likes to have group discussions with his cast members. Is that so bad? Of course, in the last meeting that took place sometime back, the cast learned that their scripts would be printed as two-sided copies instead of the norm of one-side. The horror!

While we all are concerned that "One Life to Live" might be the next soap opera to go after the recent cancellations of "As The World Turns" and "Guiding Light," let's all just try to enjoy the show we've been enjoying for the last 42-years instead of speculating on when it will end. In fact, if you are enjoying the show (even if you're not), write into the show and let them know. A letter showing your interest, good or bad, is worth more than you think.

"One Life to Live" airs Weekdays on ABC. Anytime on ABC.com.
