(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Two “All My Children” stars sign-out for the summer.

Susan Lucci, who plays “All My Children’s” signature character Erica Kane, and Walt Willey, who plays Ms. Kane’s favorite lawyer and male companion Jackson Montgomery, are scheduled to take a temporary break from the ABC soap this summer.

Like several of her male counterparts on daytime, Lucci regularly enjoys a healthy summer vacation. ABC extended that vacation a bit to make sure their premiere diva made the trip with “AMC” production to the West Coast earlier this year. Lucci being his predominant co-star, Willey was also given a matching leave from the show. Willey will spend some of his time off starring opposite Julia Barr (ex-Brooke, “AMC”) in “Arsenic and Old Lace” in Ottawa, Illinois from July 23 to July 25. For more information visit www.experienceottawa.com.

Look for Jackson and Erica to take off together on Thursday, July 15 after coming to interesting terms about their romantic future. After approximately ten weeks off from the grueling schedule of daytime television, Lucci and Willey are expected to return to the set in September. Their on-screen counterparts, Erica and Jackson, are expected to return to Pine Valley some time in September, as well.

“All My Children” airs Weekdays on ABC. Check local listings. “AMC” also airs 24/7 online at ABC.com.
