Megan Ward (SoapOperaNetwork.com) — After the Thursday, July 16 airing of ABC’s “General Hospital,” rumors began flying that Megan Ward, who portrays Kate Howard on the soap, is done filming. Not true says a “General Hospital” spokesman.

“It was not Megan’s last day. You will see her again.”

Nearly two years since joining the cast of “GH,” Ward was bumped to recurring status in April 2009 along with Rick Hearst (ex-Ric Lansing), who recently jumped ship to CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” when the soap offered him a contract in order to retun to the soap as Whipple ‘Whip’ Jones III.

Ward is best known for her roles in such primetime series as FOX’s “Party of Five” and “Melrose Place” and the series “Dark Skies.” She can next be seen in the film “The Invited” due out this year. The film also stars Victor Browne (ex-Drew Buchanan, “One Life to Live”) and Lou Diamond Phillips.

“General Hospital” airs Weekdays on ABC. Weeknights on SOAPnet. Check local listings.
