(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — The talk of the “General Hospital” Fan Club Weekend wasn’t what is going to happen next on the ABC soap, but news that Greg Vaughan, who portrays Lucky Spencer, is expecting his second child with wife Touriya Haoud. The couples first child, Jathan James Vaughan, was born in May 2007. The actor tweeted the happy news on Monday, July 20.
“As I lay in bed, adoring my beautiful family! My son slowly closes his eyes, & my beautiful wife caresses her belly as new life is blooming,” said Vaughan.
Reportedly, Haoud is three months pregnant, which marks her delivery date at or about January 2010.
Prior to joining the cast of “General Hospital” in 2003, Vaughan portrayed the contract role of Diego Guttierez on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless.” He has also appeared in a number of primetime dramas including The WB’s “Buffy, The Vampire Slayer” and “Charmed,” and FOX’s “Beverly Hills, 90210.” He has also tried his hand at comedy with his appearances in “Sabrina, The Teenage Witch” and “Still Standing.”
In related baby news, “GH’s” Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine) is expecting his first child, a boy, with wife Brienne Pedigo in October. Pedigo is a reporter for ESPN.
