As exclusively reported by Soap Opera Network in early April, Blair Cramer (Kassie DePaiva) wow’d the Shelter crowd with song on The OnLine Network’s “One Life to Live” on the Thursday, May 30 episode as Llanview experienced a peculiar blackout. As everything seemed to be going wrong, Todd Manning (Roger Howarth) insisted that Blair entertain the crowd until the power was restored.

Newcomer Amber Skye Noyes, whose brother, Tyler, portrayed a young CJ Roberts back in the early 1990’s on “One Life to Live,” has been cast as Michelle, Matthew Buchanan’s (Robert Gorrie) online girlfriend. Viewers will recall that Matthew and Michelle began communicating via Facebook in recent episodes. Noyes debuts on the Thursday, June 27 episode of the soap.

“As The World Turns” alums Paolo Seganti (ex-Damien Grimaldi) and Marnie Schulenburg (ex-Alison Stewart) along with “Guiding Light” alum Ron Raines (ex-Alan Spaulding) are joining the cast of The OnLine Network’s “One Life to Live,” the network announced today. The three former CBS Daytime soap stars make their Llanview debuts this summer in newly created roles.

According to sources, the “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” head writing team changes occurred with Prospect Park deciding to release Marlene McPherson and Elizabeth Snyder (“AMC”) and Thom Racina (“OLTL”) from their contracts. This is in direct contrast to Susie Bedsow Horgan, who opted to exit her position as co-head writer of “OLTL” (with Racina) in early April, where we’re told she cited personal reasons behind her decision.

As the fourth week of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” comes to a close, and with the recent reduction in weekly episodes of both “AMC” and “OLTL” now at just two originals, The OnLine Network has also reduced their Friday “MORE” series, which now combines the two soaps into one Friday recap/interview episode.

In a statement released a short time ago, Agnes Nixon, creator of both “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” and a consultant at Prospect Park, speaks out on Prospect Park’s decision to replace the “AMC” head writing team. Lisa Connor and Chip Hayes have been named new co-head writers of the soap. In addition, Jessica Klein and Marin Gazzaniga have been named the new co-head writers of “One Life to Live.”

Snoop Lion returns to The OnLine Network’s “One Life to Live” beginning Tuesday, May 28. TOLN has released the following video highlighting Lion’s upcoming appearance(s) on the soap as part of his collaborative work in the creation of “Brand New Start,” the new theme song used by “OLTL,” sung by IZA, who is newly signed to Boss Lady Entertainment and Snoop Lion‘s Berhane Sound System label.

Like “All My Children” co-star Jill Larson (Opal Cortlandt) before him, Vincent Irizarry (David Hayward) has posted a message on his Facebook page discussing the “AMC” and “One Life to Live” episode order reduction by Prospect Park. In his message, the actor notes, “With the great number of episodes being offered for this year, I’m confident that we’ll all be satisfied with the many hours of viewing pleasure available to us all. We, as a cast and production team, are extremely proud of our beloved shows airing, and can’t be more grateful to all of you for your overwhelming expressions of excitement and support for all we’re doing to bring these iconic shows back for you to enjoy. We’re also sincerely humbled by your very vocal expressions of love and enthusiasm for what you’ve all been seeing. It is ours, and most importantly, Prospect Park’s intention to do whatever possible to enable us to continue bringing these cherished shows into your homes, whether via your flat screens, your tablets, computers, or even your cell phones for many, many more years, and hopefully, generations to come.”

On Friday, May 21, 1999, Susan Lucci won her first Daytime Emmy Award in any category after portraying the iconic Erica Kane for (at the time) nearly 30 years on ABC’s “All My Children.” On Tuesday, May 21, 2013, 14 years after winning in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, fans are still pondering whether the actress will reprise her role on the soap opera now that it’s back in production via Prospect Park’s The OnLine Network. In the meantime, tell us where you were on that special night when one of daytime television’s biggest stars won the coveted award.

In a video highlighting their YouTube Channel, TOLNSoaps, Prospect Park’s The OnLine Network has the cast of “All My Children” talking about all the handy little features and noteworthy items.

On Thursday, May 16, Prospect Park announced its plan to reduce the episode orders of both “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” from the previously planned 168 original episodes per year (excluding Friday “MORE” shows) to just 110 episodes. Fans remain divided on whether the stated reasons behind the change from four original episodes to just two per week was in fact due to the binge viewing the company claimed in their press release or some bigger reason(s) we’re all not privy to, however, the company does admit they can quickly change things should the demand catch up to the supply.

For the first time ever fans of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” will be able to watch a legal copy of the premiere episodes of both soaps, which launched on Monday, April 29 via Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes. Just a short time ago, Prospect Park’s The OnLine Network uploaded the premiere episodes on its TOLNSoaps YouTube page for the viewing pleasure of fans all around the world (ie. no region cap). “TOLNSoaps on Youtube is a hub for all fans of the shows, a place to watch Behind the Scenes content, Recaps, Previews and Interviews through a platform that allows for free streaming on all devices including mobile.
