“The Bold and the Beautiful” premiered March 23, 1987 on CBS. The series airs weekdays on CBS. Anytime on Paramount+.

Ann Marcus, who was the head writer of NBC’s “Days of our Lives” from 1977 to 1979, and received two Daytime Emmy Award nominations for her work on the soap, has died. Marcus died in her Sherman Oaks home at the age of 93 on Wednesday, December 3.

In a story we’ve been following since its early beginning, Colleen Bell, a producer on “The Bold and the Beautiful” and the wife of Bradley P. Bell, the show’s head writer and executive producer, has officially been named the U.S. Ambassador to Hungary, reports ABC News. Her confirmation didn’t go without a hitch, however, as Senator John McCain took a strong stand against her confirmation on the Senate floor earlier today.

For the week of November 17-21, 2014, CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” hit a season high in total viewers with an average of 5.06 million viewers tuning in each day. “The Bold and the Beautiful” also attracted its second largest weekly audience of the season with 3.74 million viewers. Numbers are based on Nielsen Media Research Live+Same Day ratings data.

Now that the Thanksgiving holiday has come and gone, Christmas Day will be all the rage this holiday season. If you’re not interested in staying home to open your presents and spend time indoors with the family, why not go “Into The Woods” with soap alums Billy Magnussen (ex-Casey Hughes, “As The World Turns”) and Mackenzie Mauzy (ex-Phoebe Forrester, “The Bold and the Beautiful”)?

If things look a little bit different around here it’s because things are different. As promised on our social networks, we have been working very hard behind the scenes leading up to this Thanksgiving holiday weekend to bring you the best user experience at Soap Opera Network, which not only includes the most up-to-date soap opera related content, but also a more visually appealing layout with page speed in mind. As a result of our new design, there will be plenty of new features we’ll be able to play around with that’ll provide our readers with the best presentation of our content, including this puppy.

Before becoming Thor for millions of fans in the “Thor” film series or “The Avengers” cinematic universe, actor Chris Hemsworth was probably best known for his role on the Australian soap “Home and Away,” where he played Kimberly Jonathan “Kim” Hyde. Now a major movie star, Hemsworth has graced the cover of People Magazine as its “Sexiest Man Alive!” He’s not the only one though as several of daytime’s biggest and brightest stars of today and yesterday have also made the annual list of sexy men, which hits newsstands today.

Soap Opera Network has been bringing you all of the twists and turns regarding “The Price Is Right’s” male model search — including the exclusive story that “The Young and the Restless’ Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) and Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) are taking part in the national search. And there’s yet another super soapy story regarding the search: One of the male model hopefuls is headed to “The Bold and the Beautiful!”

“The Young and the Restless’” Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) and Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) already have quite the dream gig, both being stars of daytime’s most-watched drama series. But the pair was recently given an opportunity of Showcase Showdown proportions: They were asked to participate in “The Price Is Right’s” recent national male model search, for which they not only filmed soap opera scenes with the contestants, but also helped narrow down the final five hotties to the final three that America will have the chance to vote on!

In the midst of “The Bold and the Beautiful” gearing up for an exciting storyline in Amsterdam, which will begin airing Friday, November 7, the show’s stars Scott Clifton (Liam), Kim Matula (Hope), Ashleigh Brewer (Ivy) and Darin Brooks (Wyatt) dropped by CBS’ “The Talk” to discuss the twists and turns ahead. But don’t fret if you missed the actors’ appearance yesterday: A clip of their visit to the popular talk show has just been released!

In one of the rarest of circumstances, CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” announced on Twitter earlier this evening that actress Kim Matula (Hope Logan) will soon be departing the daytime drama series, just hours after Matula appeared live alongside co-stars Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer), Darin Brooks (Wyatt Fuller) and Ashleigh Brewer (Ivy Forrester) on the network’s daytime talk show, “The Talk.” Under normal circumstances the talent, or their representatives, would reveal departure news to the press or social media before the show was able to confirm casting updates.
