CBS’s entire daytime lineup posted week-to-week growth in viewers and key women demographics, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week of April 6.

“The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” will be telecast live exclusively on Pop on Sunday, April 26. Today, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and Pop announced the first round of presenters which includes cast members from “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital,” “The Young and the Restless,” along with personalities Nancy O’Dell, Regis Philbin, Steve Harvey, Marie Osmond, Craig Ferguson, Shemar Moore and Alex Trebek.

On “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) will stop at nothing to prevent Deacon (Sean Kanan) from marrying Quinn (Rena Sofer), “Days of our Lives” features the return of Eileen Davidson as Kristen Dimera, and “The Young and the Restless” is filled with brutal betrayals and numerous revelations that no one saw coming. Ratings Report for the Week of March 30 – April 3, 2015

“The Bold and the Beautiful” will soon welcome back actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood to its contract cast when Steffy Forrester makes her grand return to Forrester Creations beginning Tuesday, May 26, reports TV Guide‘s Michael Logan, who interviewed the actress for TV Insider.

As it gears up to broadcast its first major awards telecast with the “42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” on Sunday, April 26, Pop has released the Daytime Emmy Nominee Reels for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Competing this year for the coveted trophy are Scott Clifton as Liam Spencer and Jacob Young as Rick Forrester, respectively, on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Chad Duell as Michael Corinthos on “General Hospital” and Kristoff St. John as Neil Winters on “The Young and the Restless.”

If a year ago someone bet me that a modern-day soap opera would not only put their African-American characters in a front burner storyline that was deeply entrenched in social issues, which had nothing to do with the color of one’s skin, race or ethnicity, I’d owe that person plenty of money right about now.

Competing this year for the newest trophy in the Daytime Emmy assembly line are Meredith Baxter as Maureen, Sally Kellerman as Constance Bingham, and Ray Wise as Ian Ward, respectively, on “The Young and the Restless,” Donna Mills as Madeline Reeves and Linda Elena Tovar as Rosalie Martinez, respectively, on “General Hospital,” and Fred Willard as John Forrester on “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Competing this year for the coveted trophy are Camila Banus as Gabi Hernandez on “Days of our Lives,” Kristen Alderson as Kiki Jerome and Haley Pullos as Molly Corinthos Davis, respectively, on “General Hospital,” and Hunter King as Summer Newman on “The Young and the Restless.” Banus and Pullos are newcomers in the category while Alderson and King have both previously won – Alderson in 2013 and King in 2014.

Although I must admit that I may not always know the answers to their blind items right off the bat, I’ve long found myself fascinated with Soap Opera Digest‘s “Stuff We Know (And Shouldn’t Tell You)” mini-section. Why you ask? Because it’s no fun to be told something in print and not have anyone to talk about it with! What about you? Nominees for the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in select categories were announced earlier today on CBS’ “The Talk.” All in ABC’s “General Hospital” is leading the pack with 28 nominations. “The Young and the Restless” is right behind with 25 nominations followed by “The Bold and the Beautiful” with 19 noms and “Days of our Lives” with 16.

CBS’s hit daytime drama THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL received 19 nominations for the 42nd Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Awards, it was announced today.

Just a short time ago, CBS’ “The Talk” announced the nominees for the “42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” which will air live on Sunday, April 26 on Pop. In total, CBS received 62 nominations in a variety of categories including Outstanding Drama Series for “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” Outstanding Lead, Supporting and Younger Actor for several of daytime biggest talents, along with nominations for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Hosts for “The Talk,” Outstanding Game Show for Let’s Make a Deal,” among a plethora of others.

In life you set goals for yourself, or at least you try to. You even have expectations for yourself that you hope will eventually get fulfilled. In my case, over the years I had set a specific list of goals that included certain expectations as they related to one another. Earlier this year, I officially crossed one of the major things off that list. It wasn’t easy as it had plagued me for nearly a decade. A stepping stone you might call it. I took up something many years ago that eventually became impossible to maintain on a full-time basis. I decided to do it part-time. I went from part-time to being very part-time. Later you could say I dropped it completely in order to concentrate on the things that either gave me personal joy and fulfillment (this site) or put several well earned dollars in my pocket. I imagine I’m not the only one out there who’s ever had pull some sort of double duty in their lifetime. Right?
