On tonights’ episode of ABC’s “Revenge,” entitled “Endurance,” Emily (Emily VanCamp) is physically and mentally broken following her failed attempt to frame Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) for her murder – Daniel (Josh Bowman) ended up shooting Emily for real on her wedding night – and as a result ends up getting closer than ever to the Graysons who have decided to close ranks around her by virtually keeping her captive in Grayson manor. In a promo touting tonight’s episode, it looks as though Victoria may be getting closer to the truth about Emily’s real identity, or is this just another part of Emily’s plan? It’s hard to say, but Soap Opera Network is providing you with a lowdown on what to expect on “Revenge.”
Earlier today, we reported on changes affecting those viewers who use WATCH ABC to view their favorite ABC programming. In our report, we noted that in order to view the network’s shows online or On Demand, viewers would only be able access programming within one week of air if they are a current subscriber to participating TV service providers. This change goes into effect on Monday, January 6. Not in our report was how this change would directly effect ABC Daytime’s “The View,” “The Chew” and “General Hospital.”
After nearly 14 years on the air, SOAPnet ended its broadcast run at the stroke of midnight with the final 2013 episode of ABC’s “General Hospital” (originally aired on Monday, December 30) taking it out in style.
In the episode entitled, “Homecoming,” allies and enemies scramble to learn what happened the night of Emily Thorne’s (Emily VanCamp) wedding, while the Graysons close ranks to protect their own. But when everyone’s a suspect, it’s only a matter of time before they tear each other apart. In honor of the primetime guilty pleasures return, TVLine has your exclusive first look at Emily, who is recovering in a hospital after being shot by her husband, Daniel Grayson (Josh Bowman), after he learned that she lied to him and she was not in fact pregnant. In the sneak peek released to the site by ABC, Daniel visits a sleeping Emily, who grabs his arm and frantically asks, “Where am I?” and “Who am I?” Yes, the amnesia storyline staple of daytime television is still powerful enough for primetime.
Tonight on ABC’s “Revenge,” which returns from a three week hiatus, the wedding of Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) and Daniel Grayson (Josh Bowman) is fast approaching and Emily must put the finishing touches on her final takedown – Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) herself. While we didn’t get to see his face, there’s a perfectly good reason why. The soap only just cast the actor to take on the role! On Friday, July 12, it was announced that Justin Hartley (“Passions,” “Arrow”, “Emily Owens M.D.,” “Smallville”) would portray the character that could be the saving grace Victoria needs in light of some family controversies and murders, or he could be the devil ready to get his own revenge on mommy dearest.

The revival of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” could be just the start of cancelled network shows finding new homes in other places. According to Deadline Hollywood, Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts have been named executive producers of ABC’s “Revenge.” In their new position, after signing new two year deals with ABC Studios, the duo will join executive producer Sunil Nayar, who recently replaced series creator Mike Kelley as showrunner, as the leaders of the just renewed Sunday night soap opera. Their appointment begins with the shows third season premiering in the fall.

ABC has announced its new fall primetime schedule which includes the trimming of “Dancing with the Stars” from two nights to just one (now only on Mondays) with “Castle” remaining in its slot for the fifth year running. Tuesday nights finds the introduction of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D,” a spin-off series from the “Avengers” film franchise, followed by new comedies “The Goldbergs” and “Trophy Wife.” New drama “Lucky 7” replaces “Body of Proof,” which was canceled.
After months of anticipation, the day has finally arrived for the returns of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live.” Both soaps premiered today with brand new episodes via Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes. As previously reported, the two soaps have been getting some love from Hulu starting with an email campaign on Friday and a weekend trip on the Hulu bar, which highlights several recent episodes of popular series airing on Hulu. Today, Hulu gave each series their own spot on the bar with positions #1 and #2, ahead of such staples as ABC’s “Revenge” and “Once Upon A Time” or FOX’s “Family Guy” and “American Dad.”
YouTube channel WIGS announced Wednesday that it has picked up Season Two of its web series, “Blue.” And guess what? “All My Children” alum, Mark Consuelos (Mateo Santos) will appear alongside the series’ star, Julia Stiles (“Silver Linings Playbook,” “10 Things I Hate About You”).
Deadline is reporting that “Revenge” star Emily VanCamp has landed the female lead role in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” the sequel to the 2011 blockbuster film starring hearthrob Chris Evans as the title character. This would will mark VanCamp’s first major motion picture since 2005’s “The Ring Two.” Marvel Studios, part of the Walt Disney Company, has slated April 4, 2014 as a release date, but production has yet to begin. The film is being directed by Joe and Anthony Russ. Scarlett Johansson is expected to reprise her role of Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow from “The Avengers,” which became the third biggest film after grossing over $1.5 billion in worldwide box-office in 2012.
CBS announced today that it will broadcast the 39th Annual “People’s Choice Awards” Live on Sunday, January 9, 2012 from the Nokia Theater L.A. Live. Additionally, fans of TV, Music and Movies can begin voting on 15 potential new categories to be added to this years telecast. Voting is now open at www.PeoplesChoice.com/pca/categories.
