As previously reported, Wednesday, October 1 marked the first time viewers got to see three time Daytime Emmy Award winning actor Billy Miller in the contract role of Jason Morgan on ABC’s “General Hospital.” As a mystery man that viewers know to be Jason, John Doe is currently laying up in a hospital bed recovering from injuries sustained following his being run over by Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) car in an episode aired last week. When Sam (Kelly Monaco) inadvertently enters his room when her son runs away from her to be by John Doe’s side, Sam is inadvertently reunited with her husband and the father of her child, but does she realize it? Does her son, Danny?
On Monday, June 16, Michael Saucedo returns to ABC’s “General Hospital” as Juan Santiago, who is back in Port Charles to support his cousin, Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo), during her hour of need. You’ll recall that Sabrina’s baby with Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson), Gabriel Drake Santiago, died last week following the hit -and-run car accident that forced the early delivery of the child in late April.
Beginning Thursday, May 8 and running through Tuesday, May 13, ABC’s “General Hospital” will present the 2014 Nurses Ball sponsored by Yoplait Greek Yogurt. ABC.com recently published photos on its website providing viewers with a sneak peek at the event as well as some behind the scenes shots.

On Saturday, March 8, 2014, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFH GLA) will host the 5th Annual General Hospital Fan Build, where fans of the daytime soap opera get an opportunity to spend a day building a home with several of their favorite cast members. The event, which is part of Habitat’s entertainment partnership program, was started up by “General Hospital’s” Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny Zacchara) and Lisa LoCicero (Olivia Falconeri) in 2009 as a way to reward fans for their loyalty to the show, while at the same time doing a good deed.
Soap Opera Network has learned that Michael Saucedo is set to return to ABC’s “General Hospital” in the coming months to reprise his role of Juan Santiago, the biological son of Lily Corinthos (Lilly Melgar) and Miguel Morez (Ricky Martin). As “General Hospital’s” 50th anniversary celebration kicks into high gear this week with a very special episode airing Tuesday, April 2 (episode was originally scheduled to air on Monday, April 1 as the 50th anniversary celebratory episode), fans will have no chance of avoiding the cast of the series as they grace your TV screens in more ways than one. In addition to the upcoming Special Edition of “20/20″ with Katie Couric,” wherein ABC News will feature “General Hospital” in a “Real Soap Dish” episode airing Saturday, April 6 from 9:00 – 10:00 PM ET on ABC, the daytime talk show newbie will host the series in a special edition of “Katie” airing on Thursday, April 4. Stars scheduled to appear in the episode include Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer), Genie Francis (Laura Spencer), Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin), Finola Hughes (Anna Devanne), and Kelly Monaco, with a special performance by Rick Springfield (Noah Drake).

Incidentally, in the year that followed many were left wondering if the 2012 event would ever come to be amidst all the drama and rumors surrounding the cancellation, reincarnation (through the Disney/ABC Television Group/Prospect Park Productions deal that wasn’t) and ultimate demise of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” and the possible effect it would have on “GH” itself. On July 21, 2012, “GH” did indeed holds its annual fan event – again at the Sportsmen’s Lodge Event Center – with a renewed focus and much hope for the future.
“General Hospital’s” Nathin Butler (Ewen Keenan) will be chatting live with fans of the ABC Daytime drama series during the networks east coast broadcast (3:00 PM ET/12:00 PM PT) of the series. On Monday afternoon, TV Guide Magazine revealed news that “General Hospital” actor Jonathan Jackson has decided to exit the role of Lucky Spencer on the ABC daytime drama. Sources indicate to the magazine that Jackson was denied a lighter schedule following two years of non-stop drama for his beleaguered character and that ultimately played into his decision to get out of Port Charles. Jackson was also apparently disappointed that his character never got the opportunity to properly reunite with his former love interest Elizabeth Webber played by Rebecca Herbst. The four-time Daytime Emmy Award winner will last tape on November 17.
