As previously reported, Prospect Park’s “All My Children,” and now “One Life to Live,” have been embroiled in a heated debate with I.A.T.S.E. (International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees)/Local 52, the union representing stage workers for the soaps, which alleges that Prospect Park has violated the labor agreement with the union. As a result, Prospect Park today announced that both soaps will halt production effective tomorrow, June 6.

Fans of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” have learned to adapt to the dramatic twists and turns hitting their favorite returning “anytime” soaps, only they’ve been adapting more to the behind the scenes “drama” than they have been with what’s happening on screen. First it was the episode reduction (two episodes per week for each show instead of the previously scheduled four), then word FX Canada had dropped both shows from its lineup as a result of the episode reduction, and most recently word that head writers for both shows were released from their contracts and replaced with their script writers. Now, according to TheWrap, the latest drama is based on an apparent labor dispute between Prospect Park and I.A.T.S.E. (International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees)/Local 52, the union representing stage workers for “AMC.”

Oprah Winfrey Network’s dramatic series, “The Haves and the Have Nots,” which stars “One Life to Live’s” Tika Sumpter (ex-Layla Wiliamson, premiered on May 28, and ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner!

It’s been awhile since Terri Conn (ex-Aubrey Wentworth, “One Life to Live;” ex-Katie Peretti, “As the World Turns”) has been in the public eye, but that’s all about to change! The actress will be joining Anthony Rapp (“Kidnapped,” “Adventures in Babysitting”) and Patrick James Lynch (“At the Top of the Pyramid”) in leading a benefit reading of “Deleted Scenes,” an event that will generate proceeds to help the Hemophilia Association of New York.

WTNH, better known as ABC8 in Stamford, CT, recently toured the set of The OnLine Network’s “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” and got some inside scoop on what’s happening on your favorite internet dramas.

Bummed you weren’t one of the lucky few who got a car from daytime legend Oprah Winfrey? Don’t be, because she’s giving the rest of us something pretty spectacular: “One Life to Live” actress Tika Sumpter (ex-Layla Williamson) in a new role!

As previously reported, Paolo Seganti (ex-Damien Grimaldi, “As The World Turns”) has joined the cast of The OnLine Network’s “One Life to Live” as Arturo Bandini, a wealthy, suave and sexy man whose family is very influential in the art world, beginning with the Thursday, June 27 episode. TOLN has released the first image of Seganti in his new role, which can be viewed above.

In an interview published in the newest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Maria Arena Bell, the former executive producer and head writer of “The Young and the Restless,” shares that the soap submitted episodes #9,999 and #10,000 as part of their Emmy reel in the category of Outstanding Drama Series for the “40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards.”

Newcomer Amber Skye Noyes, whose brother, Tyler, portrayed a young CJ Roberts back in the early 1990’s on “One Life to Live,” has been cast as Michelle, Matthew Buchanan’s (Robert Gorrie) online girlfriend. Viewers will recall that Matthew and Michelle began communicating via Facebook in recent episodes. Noyes debuts on the Thursday, June 27 episode of the soap.

According to sources, the “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” head writing team changes occurred with Prospect Park deciding to release Marlene McPherson and Elizabeth Snyder (“AMC”) and Thom Racina (“OLTL”) from their contracts. This is in direct contrast to Susie Bedsow Horgan, who opted to exit her position as co-head writer of “OLTL” (with Racina) in early April, where we’re told she cited personal reasons behind her decision.

“All My Children” stars Vincent Irizarry (David Hayward) and Jill Larson (Opal Cortlandt) have both sent messages to fans via social media sites about Prospect Park’s decision to cut the frequency of both ‘AMC’ and “One Life to Live” episodes in half, and now Cady McClain (Dixie Martin) is joining the bandwagon. In a detailed blog post on her official website, the Pine Valley veteran assures fans that when it comes to the future of both shows, “Every little thing gonna be alright now!”

As the fourth week of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” comes to a close, and with the recent reduction in weekly episodes of both “AMC” and “OLTL” now at just two originals, The OnLine Network has also reduced their Friday “MORE” series, which now combines the two soaps into one Friday recap/interview episode.

Memorial Day weekend is the perfect time for barbeques, catching up with friends and working on that (long overdue) tan, but being soap fans and all, it’s only natural to squeeze in a little soap-worthy entertainment, as well. Luckily, Lifetime Movie Network knows this and chose tonight to premiere ‘The Perfect Boss,’ an original movie staring both Jamie Luner (ex-Liza Colby, “All My Children”) and Linden Ashby (ex-Paul Hollingsworth, “Days of our Lives,” ex- Cameron Kirsten, “The Young and the Restless”)!

In a statement released a short time ago, Agnes Nixon, creator of both “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” and a consultant at Prospect Park, speaks out on Prospect Park’s decision to replace the “AMC” head writing team. Lisa Connor and Chip Hayes have been named new co-head writers of the soap. In addition, Jessica Klein and Marin Gazzaniga have been named the new co-head writers of “One Life to Live.”

Snoop Lion returns to The OnLine Network’s “One Life to Live” beginning Tuesday, May 28. TOLN has released the following video highlighting Lion’s upcoming appearance(s) on the soap as part of his collaborative work in the creation of “Brand New Start,” the new theme song used by “OLTL,” sung by IZA, who is newly signed to Boss Lady Entertainment and Snoop Lion‘s Berhane Sound System label.

Many of you have probably not heard the full theme song used for “All My Children” titled “We Are The Love” by Imaginary Friend, but no one has heard the full “One Life to Live” theme titled “Brand New Start” by IZA, who is newly signed to Boss Lady Entertainment and Snoop Lion’s Berhane Sound System label, until now!

With both “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” rocking it out on their new TOLN online home as well as having quite a fan following on social media sites, it’s no surprise that the shows also have an incredibly fun Pinterest page! Like “All My Children” co-star Jill Larson (Opal Cortlandt) before him, Vincent Irizarry (David Hayward) has posted a message on his Facebook page discussing the “AMC” and “One Life to Live” episode order reduction by Prospect Park. In his message, the actor notes, “With the great number of episodes being offered for this year, I’m confident that we’ll all be satisfied with the many hours of viewing pleasure available to us all. We, as a cast and production team, are extremely proud of our beloved shows airing, and can’t be more grateful to all of you for your overwhelming expressions of excitement and support for all we’re doing to bring these iconic shows back for you to enjoy. We’re also sincerely humbled by your very vocal expressions of love and enthusiasm for what you’ve all been seeing. As previously reported, The OnLine Network has released a recap video that hopes to bring viewers up to speed on the goings on in Llanview on the network’s “One Life to Live.” At nearly 30 minutes in length, “Who’s Who in Llanview” is available online via Hulu.com (free) or Hulu Plus (via subscription).
