You’ve already heard from Debbi Morgan and Cady McClain, but what about the other stars of “All My Children” who’ve recently learned that Prospect Park will not be forging ahead with a second season of the supposed “anytime” soap opera. Putting together all the tweets (at the time of this posting), Soap Opera Network has compiled a list of what some of the actors are saying about the demise of “AMC” 2.0 on social media.

On Friday, November 8, Soap Opera Network reported that SOAPnet, now the old way to watch soaps, would cease operation on December 31, 2013 at 11:59:59 ET. In a piece by the Los Angeles Times, Ben Pyne, president of global distribution for Disney Media Networks, said, “SOAPnet had a great run.” He added, “It served an audience of super-soap fans. And when given the opportunity, all of our affiliates kept the channel up and running.” The affiliates Pyne refers are the cable and satellite operators including DirecTV and Cablevision, et al that have kept the cable network on their channel listings whether a new deal with Disney and the carriers was signed or not.

In the new book, “Llanview in the Afternoon: An Oral History of One Life to Live,” actress Ellen Holly (ex-Clara “Carla” Hall) accused former co-star Erika Slezak (Viki Lord Buchanan) of getting her fired off of the ABC soap back in the 1980’s. The actress says Slezak used the words, “Get those two black bitches out of my face,” in reference to Holly and Lillian Hayman (Sadie Gray) during an anniversary party for the show in 1983. Until now, Slezak had not commented on the matter since the book hit Amazon and other outlets in early September.

When word came to light that Prospect Park was getting ready to announce it had decided to not move forward with either “All My Children” or “One Life to Live,” as had been expected (The OnLine Network Announces First Season Finales of ‘AMC’ and ‘OLTL’), fans were gearing up for the worst, but what about the actors? When a fan tweeted to “AMC” star Debbi Morgan (Dr. Angela Hubbard), “AMC FB page fans angry, some quitting show and Hulu. Some demanding PP give statement one way or the other. WOW!” the actress responded by saying, “U can imagine how all the cast is feeling being that we’re still in the dark as well…” Morgan’s comments are in direct contrast to her comment on Sunday, October 27, where she sounded more upbeat when she said, “Many R asking when AMC is coming back. Wish I could give a definitive date. All I can give U is what we’re given. The Show ‘Is’ coming back!”

With word that Prospect Park may or may not be in the process of formally announcing plans to not continue with production on “All My Children,” in addition to the previously reported production hiatus for “One Life to Live” and how such a decision may affect the fans who fought so long and hard to get them both back, “OLTL” actress Robin Strasser (Dorian Lord) tweeted in defense of the company without knowing what the ultimate decision may end up being (historically the actors know less information than the soap press when it comes to the company and its planning).

Earlier today TV Guide’s Michael Logan tweeted, “Is #ProspectPark ‘shelving’ @allmychildren too? I’m hearing big announcement planned for this Friday. @TOLN @onelifetolive.” The possibility of it happened wouldn’t necessarily come as a surprise considering there has been literally no news about the future of either “All My Children” or “One Life to Live” outside of the early September news that due to the ABC/Prospect Park lawsuit over “OLTL” the company would be forging ahead solely with “AMC.”

As previously reported, Ilene Kristen is returning to daytime television courtesy of ABC’s “General Hospital” – the actress debuts today. While ABC wouldn’t necessarily confirm which character Kristen would be playing – Delia Reid from “Ryan’s Hope” or even Roxy Balsom on “One Life to Live” – when pressed for comment by Soap Opera Network on Friday, “GH” head writer, Ron Carlivati, spilled the beans over the weekend via Twitter.

If you happened to be tuning into today’s episode of ABC’s “General Hospital,” and stayed long enough for the end credits, you may have noticed a familiar face interacting with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Silas Clay (Michael Easton). “One Life to Live” and “Ryan’s Hope” fan favorite Ilene Kristen was seen serving coffee to the pair in what appears to be Kelly’s diner in the previews for the next episode of the drama series – airing Monday, October 28.

With no word yet on whether or not “One Life to Live” will resume production any time soon, Josh Kelly (Cutter Wentworth) has decided to hit the streets in search of new projects — and lucky enough, he found one: A new Lifetime pilot titled “Unreal.”

The casting for ‘Fast & Furious 7’ is in high gear, and the latest name announced to join Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in the next installment of the popular film franchise is none other than “One Life to Live’s” John Brotherton (ex-Jared Banks)!

The annual Tails N Tots event is set to take place on Saturday, October 12, and it looks like this year’s event, benefitting The Kids Wish Network, will be featuring not one but TWO former Jake Martins from “All My Children!”

“One Life to Live’s” Kelley Missal (Danielle Manning) may have had to say goodbye to Llanview, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of her television days. In fact, you can catch the actress in a new role as early as next month!

With a resume that includes “High School Musical” and several other dancing performances, it’s no secret that “One Life to Live’s” Corbin Bleu (Jeffrey King) knows how to get down and boogie. But the actor went the extra mile on last night’s episode of “Dancing with the Stars,” performing a contemporary number with partner Karina Smirnoff that impressed America — and the judges!

Things are about to start looking a bit different in Genoa City, as “The Young and the Restless” has named its new headwriters: Current ‘Y&R’ scribe Shelly Altman and daytime writer Jean Passanante will share the position, along with ‘Y&R’ scribe Tracey Thomson, who’s been promoted to co-writer within the new, all female headwriting team.

In a video published on their YouTube page and official website, The OnLine Network presents Suzy F*cking Homemaker (“All My Children’s” Cady McClain) having a chat with “One Life to Live’s” Tuc Watkins, using footage from the Sleepy Hollow photo shoot from earlier this year.

As previously reported, “One Life to Live” has become an apparent (albeit possibly temporarily) casualty of the lawsuit between Prospect Park and the ABC Television Network, which the latter canceled in April 2011 after opting to restructure its daytime lineup. Erika Slezak, who has portrayed Victoria Lord on the drama series on both the ABC incarnation and the current Prospect Park/The OnLine Network version for more than 40 years, has released a statement on Prospect’s decision to halt production on the soap pending the resolution to its lawsuit against ABC.

The drama just never stops for Prospect Park’s “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” with the latest shocking news regarding the online sudsers coming from the L.A. Times. According to the publication, Prospect Park is shelving ‘One Life to Live’ until the lawsuit it launched against ABC in April is resolved. Additionally, the company will focus on producing “AMC,” with writers having already started work on scripts for the second season of the show.

Using the Drupal content management platform, Prospect Park’s The OnLine Network has revamped its TOLN.com website, which is the online home of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live.” The new website was first released on Thursday, August 15, before TOLN officially announced its unveiling yesterday. Previously, TOLN.com was an internet hub that solely enabled online viewers of “AMC” and “OLTL” to watch the soaps outside of Hulu’s website. Eventually, TOLN.com, along with AllMyChildren.com and OneLifetoLive.com were all re-directed to Hulu.com. On Friday, August 2, TOLN announced plans to revamp its website in order to provide a “New, User-Friendly Web Portal and App” experience for viewers. It’s unknown when TOLN plans to launch the app, which it said will be available for Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android platforms and will include exclusive clips, interviews, behind-the-scenes footage from each series and provide access to full length episodes. The TOLN app will work on all iOS (3G and Retina Display) and Android devices.
