Tongues were left wagging after “General Hospital” star Kimberly McCullough (ex-Robin Scorpio) tweeted out a photo of a script on Sunday night along with the tease: “A day in the life of a soap actor. Say ‘soap-y’ I dare you.” Was it a “GH” script? Did the tweet mean she was returning to Port Charles?

In the other, it was revealed that Brad’s real father is Kim Wu from the 1980’s Asian Quarter storyline, which is famously remembered in flashbacks when a young Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) runs to the awaiting arms of her mother Anna Devanne (Finola Hughes). In fact, the scenes were recently aired when Robin once again reunited with her mother last year. There have been a slew of stories celebrating soap operas’ recent turnaround in the ratings game as of late, but it’s an unexpected trend worth repeating: Soaps are back, baby! And “General Hospital,” which was marching toward an ABC death similar to “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” is doing particularly well. Soap Opera Network sat down with the sudser’s very own William DeVry (Julian Jerome), who discussed some particulars of why “GH” is on such an upswing. This is the most joyous time of my life,” said actress Teresa Castillo to the publication, where she announced she was expecting her first child – a girl – with husband Shane Aaron. “It feels great to finally be able to share it with the world,” she added.

In 2014, the stakes will be raised on ABC’s “General Hospital,” or at least that’s what a newly released promo from the network tells you to expect in regards to the ongoing drama surrounding the return of Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough), the rivalry between Carly Corinthos Jacks (Laura Wright) and Ava Jerome (Maura West), and the Mob War that now involves Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly’s son, Morgan (Bryan Craig).

See “General Hospital’s” Rick Springfield (Dr. Noah Drake) as you’ve never seen him perform. From personal stories to stories from concert fields, the documentary film, “An Affair of the Heart,” follows the life of the multi-talented actor/musician from the perspective of his fans who share details on when they first discovered him and what makes him such an icon in their lives. The film was recently released on DVD/blu-ray and hails from an idea by producer Melanie Lentz-Janney, who has been a loyal fan of Rick’s for thirty years. “The Young and the Restless'” Doug Davidson along with “GH’s'” Jacklyn Zeman, Kimberly McCullough, Jason Thompson and Brandon Barash also appear in the film.

The return of Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) to “General Hospital” is short lived, it seems. On the heels of a cancellation announcement and a failed online venture, it was announced that successful former Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, and former Head Writer, Ron Carlivati, of “One Life to Live” were hired for the same positions at a struggling “General Hospital.” Rattling many “GH” fans, in recent days, has been the announcement that at least several major “OLTL” stars will be showing up in Port Charles as their Llanview alter egos. Carlivati insists to insiders that “GH” fans need not worry as he has no intention of turning their soap into “OLTL.” To that end, the show-runners have also announced the return of three of “GH’s” most legendary performers and characters – Finola Hughes, Tristan Rogers and Emma Samms as Anna, Robert and Holly – for extended runs on the last-standing ABC daytime drama.
