“General Hospital” premiered April 1, 1963 on ABC. The series airs weekdays on ABC. Anytime on Hulu.

Disney Channel has renewed “Stuck in the Middle” for a third season, the network announced last week. The series, which features “General Hospital’s” Nicolas Bechtel in a bustling household of nine, is set to resume with all new episodes from season two beginning Friday, September 15 (8:30 p.m. EDT).

“General Hospital” stars Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones), Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), and Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) were just some of the actors from the daytime drama series who took the time to answer calls from viewers all across America as part of Disney|ABC Television Group’s “Day of Giving,” which took place on Thursday, August 31, and continued well into Friday morning. In conjunction with the American Red Cross, the initiative has so far raised $14.3 million in aid that’ll help benefit those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

Tequan Richmond (TJ Ashford, “General Hospital”) has been keeping himself busy this summer filming the all-new AwesomenessTV original series, “All Night,” which finds a group of recent graduates taking part in a lock-in graduation party where they spend an entire night doing whatever it takes to make what’s left of their time in high school come true. The 10-episode half-hour comedy series was recently picked up by Hulu and is set to premiere in 2018. Richmond is set to play the role of Christian.

ABC’s “The Great American Eclipse” brought in the most viewers of any network, cable or broadcast, during the network’s coverage of the first total solar eclipse in 38 years on Monday, August 21. The program, which aired from 1:00-3:00 p.m. EDT, was hosted by “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir and brought in 7.9 million viewers with about 2.1 million in the Adults 25-54 demo, nearly tripling the average of what all-new episodes of “The Chew” and “General Hospital” would have attracted in the time period.

Following in the footsteps of daytime alums Lauren B. Martin (ex-Camille Bennett, “As The World Turns”), Monti Sharp (ex-Lewis McCloud, “ATWT”; ex-David Grant, “Guiding Light”) and Kim Brockington (Felicia Boudreau, “GL”), “Pride: The Series” creator and actor Dorell Anthony (“All My Children,” “General Hospital”) has joined the cast of “Asunder,” producers of the upcoming digital series announced recently.

For the first time in 38 years, America will experience a total solar eclipse on Monday, August 21. In anticipation of the historic event, the broadcast networks, or in some instances, a number of their affiliated stations, will pre-empt regularly scheduled programming for live coverage.

A veteran of daytime soaps, actress Alla Korot (ex-Allie Doyle, “All My Children”; ex-Jenna Norris, ” Another World”) is heading to “General Hospital,” confirms an ABC representative. Character details and when she’ll first air were not made available, however.

More than a month since filming what was expected to be his final scenes as Julian Jerome on ABC’s “General Hospital,” following the two sides hitting an impasse during contract negotiations, actor William deVry and the daytime drama series have finally reached a deal that will keep the fan favorite on the soap opera for the foreseeable future.
