Just before the Thanksgiving holiday festivities began, actress Farah Fath (“Days of our Lives,” “One Life to Live”) announced that she is engaged to longtime boyfriend, Phil Galfond, a professional poker player and CEO of RunItOnce.com.

Fran Bascom, who had been nominated nine times for her work as a casting director at NBC’s “Days of our Lives” by the Casting Society of America, has died. After reportedly feeling under the weather late Sunday, June 2, Bascom was taken to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA, where she died. A cause of death is not known at this time.

Last week, Soap Opera Network featured a Center Stage interview with “One Life to Live’s” legendary veteran, Erika Slezak (Victoria Lord). She opened up about the future of ‘OLTL,’ working with the fresh, young faces on the show, and what it’s been like to have show creator Agnes Nixon back at the helm. And this week, we’re revealing how she feels about Robin Strasser (Dorian Lord), what it’s like working with Roger Howarth (Todd Manning) versus working with Trevor St. John (Victor Lord), and who she’d like to see return to Llanview!

In a follow up to our report on Farah Fath commenting to her followers, “you won’t get any Prospect Park answers out of me. I’ll believe it when I see it,” the actress has revealed that she won’t be appearing on “One Life to Live” when it moves to the web later this year.

Although news of Prospect Park once again being interested in reviving “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” for the web seems to have been universally accepted, many soap fans have remained a little doubtful on the matter to a certain extent. Former “One Life to Live” and “Dirty Soap” star Farah Fath seems to share in that doubtfulness. The actress began a series of tweets just a short time ago that led into discussion of the company and its online plans. Note: The actress admits to have been tweeting while drinking Heineken, so if you find yourself easily offended. Please stop reading now.

“One Life to Live” is forced to recast the character of Cole Thornhart, who is serving a prison sentence for murdering Eli Clarke (Matt Walton) with Broadway star Van Hughes only one day after Brandon Buddy returned to the role.

It’s official! Another fan favorite is on her way back to “One Life to Live.” In a message on her Facebook page, Tonja Walker not only confirms that she will be reprising her role of Alex Olanov, but also reveals a few of the characters she will be mingling with when she returns later this fall.

John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex) is branching out from his daytime role on “One Life to Live.” In addition to co-starring alongside his real and reel life girlfriend Farah Fath (Gigi) in the upcoming E! series “Dirty Soap,” Lavoisier has also landed a guest starring role in the CBS primetime series “The Mentalist.”
