After declining to renew its agreement with Hulu in 2016, wherein viewers were provided with next-day access to current episodes of its series, The CW announced today that it will once again offer its programming to the streaming service, at least for subscribers to the Hulu with Live TV (beta) plan. The deal marks a victory for Hulu which now has all five English-speaking U.S. broadcast networks available through its live service.

Former “Days of our Lives” star Shawn Christian (ex-Daniel Jonas) is getting “Trapped” in the LGBTQ independent drama written and directed by Katerina Gorshkov. The film tells the story of Scarlet (Allison Gregory, “Rotten”), a girl sent to a wilderness camp for difficult teenagers where she meets another girl named Dylan (Ava Capri, “Little Rituals”). Together, they create a bond that is tested through experiences beyond their perceived realm of existence. Christian will play Peter Evans.

With news that Pop will now air same-day rebroadcast episodes of NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” along with the already airing rebroadcasts of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” one can only wonder if the the network may have plans of airing rebroadcasts of ABC’s “General Hospital” as well. Sadly, that’s not the case.

First announced in October of last year, Pop is ready to release their “Queens of Drama” as soap stars Lindsay Hartley (“All My Children,” “Days of Our Lives,” “Passions”), Crystal Hunt (“Guiding Light,” “One Life to Live”), Vanessa Marcil (“Las Vegas,” “General Hospital”), Chrystee Pharris (“PSNS,” “GH”) and Hunter Tylo (“The Bold and The Beautiful”) are joined with special appearances by Donna Mills (“Knots Landing,” “Melrose Place” and “GH”) in their new reality series debuting Sunday, April 26 at 10:00 PM, ET/7:00 PM, PT, immediately following the network’s exclusive live broadcast of “The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.”

With production beginning this month, Michael Caruso‘s “Winterthorne” has added “One Life to Live” alum John-Paul Lavoisier to its cast. The soap star will portray the role of Hugh Cambridge, a handsome and mysterious man, who shares a past with Miranda Winterthorne, portrayed by “Days of our Lives” alum, Martha Madison. The character is said to be hell bent on becoming a member of the Winterthorne family and will go about any means necessary, including seducing Miranda, to get what he wants.

Hallmark Channel’s “Home & Family” is getting ready to host another classic soap opera reunion when it brings together the cast of ABC’s iconic primetime drama, “Dynasty,” with guests Pamela Sue Martin, John James, Al Corley and Gordon Thomson joining hosts Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare on Monday, January 26.

“The Royals” marks E!’s first entry in the original scripted drama series game when it premieres Sunday, March 15, and as the network highlights the annual Christmas address by Queen Helena (Elizabeth Hurley), who says, “I’m supposed to tell you what a wonderful year it’s been. I’m supposed to smile and stick to the script. But the truth is, as a family, as a monarchy, we’re hanging on by a thread,” we can’t help but prepare to witness the next great soapy drama!

May you now and forever refer to her as a dame! Queen Elizabeth II has awarded actress Joan Collins (“Dynasty,” “Guiding Light”) with the honor of damehood, reports the BBC.
