Browsing: Beverly Hills 90210

It was in 1996 when Tori Spelling broke out of her shell as Donna Martin on the popular FOX hit “Beverly Hills, 90210” with the NBC original movie, “Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?” As the TV movie approaches its 20th anniversary, Lifetime announced today that it is remaking the classic with a story by “General Hospital’s” James Franco (ex-Franco), who will also executive produce.

With news that Pop will now air same-day rebroadcast episodes of NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” along with the already airing rebroadcasts of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” one can only wonder if the the network may have plans of airing rebroadcasts of ABC’s “General Hospital” as well. Sadly, that’s not the case.

As previously reported, soap stars Lindsay Hartley (“All My Children,” “Days of Our Lives,” “Passions“), Crystal Hunt (“Guiding Light,” “One Life to Live”), Vanessa Marcil (“Beverly Hills, 90210,” “General Hospital”), Chrystee Pharris (“Passions,” “General Hospital”) and Hunter Tylo (“The Bold and The Beautiful”) have signed on for POP’s newest reality series, “Queens of Drama,” where the ladies will work together to produce a pilot for a new serialized primetime drama series. As the poster above warns, today, October 28, marks the beginning of production for show. Donna Mills (“General Hospital,” “Knots Landing,” “Melrose Place”) will also be taking part with special appearances.

With soap stars Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott, “The Young and the Restless”; Kristen DiMera, “Days of our Lives”) and Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie Reed, “DAYS”; ex-Taylor McBride, “Melrose Place”) currently filming the fifth season of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” it was only a matter of time before a network greenlit a new reality series/docu-series comprised solely of the divas of daytime and primetime soap operas.

In honor of “One Life to Live’s” 45th Anniversary today, July 15, Soap Opera Network has joined forces with FamousBirthdays.com to bring readers the celebratory birthday wishes relating to soap operas and assorted soapy content. Readers will be alerted of upcoming birthdays as they relate to soap operas and other forms of entertainment.

Former soap star Lindsay Price (ex-An Li Chen, “All My Children,” ex-Michael Lai, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) and celebrity chef Curtis Stone already share a child (seven-month-old Hudson), and they now officially share a life together, as well!

ABC Family and Muse Entertainment have announced that production will begin this week on the new original Thanksgiving movie, “Home Again” (working title), starring Cameron Mathison (“All My Children”) and Jennie Garth (“Beverly Hills, 90210”). The film is scheduled to premiere in November as part of the network’s annual “Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas” programming event. Mary Kay Place (“The Big Chill”) will also star.

For the 60 million television households still lucky enough to receive SOAPnet via their cable or satellite provider you’ll be happy to know (or not) that the network is presenting a nine-hour marathon of party-themed episodes from “Veronica Mars,” “One Tree Hill” and “Beverly Hills, 90210” in honor of New Year’s Day 2013 (January 1, 2013).
