As previously reported, Tristan Rogers will soon be departing ABC’s “General Hospital” after his most recent stint as Robert Scorpio comes to an end. With his pending return to CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” in the new year, Rogers recently announced on Twitter his final film date at “GH” and his first film date back at “Y&R.”

With nearly 24 minutes in total airtime between them, LANYentertainment released the first two installments of “The Bay: The Series” chapter 11 on the official “Bay” website yesterday. Fans of the series will not only get caught up in the happenings in Bay City, but they’ll also get their fill of drama, sex, drugs, romance, deception, murder, and much more.

Christmas is coming a little bit early for fans of Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery, “All My Children”) this year. The actor is gracing the small screen alongside Jennie Garth (“Beverly Hills, 90210”) in an ABC Family “25 Days of Christmas” film titled “Holidaze.”

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced yesterday that it’s going to be easier than ever for entrants to submit material for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy race and for voters to get their voices heard, as the entire process has shifted to an online space! In addition, entries for this year’s awards ceremony are now being accepted, and submission are open in all 81 Daytime categories.

The Emmy-nominated online soap opera “The Bay” is back for its 11th chapter, and the sudser’s return is expected to be edgier, bigger and better than ever!

On Monday, September 26, 2011, ABC premiered a new daytime talk show that brought food back to the table and into our everyday lives. Now in its third season, “The Chew” is currently enjoying one of its highest rated on record in both total viewers and key women sales demos. As the talk show celebrated its 500th episode yesterday, fans of the ABC version of “All My Children” continued to mourn the loss of their favorite daytime soap opera, which made Susan Lucci and her character Erica Kane a household name to mainstream viewers.

Former “All My Children” actress Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee Smythe) may be co-hosting “The Better Show,” but that doesn’t mean she’s retired from scripted acting. In fact, the actress will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of the CBS drama “Blue Bloods!”

The multi-million dollar battle between Prospect Park and ABC over “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” isn’t the only soap opera drama the Los Angeles courts have been dealing with as of late: Apparently, Prospect Park co-founder Jeff Kwatinetz has taken his own company to court over non-compete clauses!

With “All My Children” not moving forward, and word that the show along with sister soap “One Life to Live” would be eligible for Emmy consideration in all categories for next year’s awards presentation, actress Debbi Morgan (ex-Dr. Angela Hubbard) has decided to not put her name up consideration in either Supporting or Lead Actress categories. In a tweet on Saturday, November 30, Morgan said, “I’ve decided not 2 have my name submitted 4 emmy consideration this year cuz I just really, really want 2 move on.”

“All My Children” actress Francesca James (ex-Evelyn Johnson) is in the middle of a plot fit for a thriller film. According to The New York Post, the Emmy winner was named co-executer of the estate of recently deceased Broadway star Julie Harris, and friends and former employees of the Tony-winner are accusing James of “worming” her way into Harris’ life, taking control of her business and medical affairs and alienating her from her son, Peter Gurian — all so she could inherit part of Harris’ estimated 10 million fortune!

Fans of “All My Children’s” Aiden Turner (Aidan Devane) would agree that he was pretty perfect onscreen, but his off screen perfection has now been shattered. According to TMZ, the Hertfordshire-born actor was arrested for felony domestic violence after he allegedly threw a remote control at his girlfriend’s face!

Actress Paula Garces (“Devious Maids;” ex-Lea Marquez, “All My Children”) and her husband, Antonio Hernandez, have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving: On Wednesday, November 20, the couple welcomed their first child together into the world!

Held Monday, November 18 at the Beverly Hilton in LA and at the XL Nightclub, Cabaret & Lounge in NYC, “The Casting Society of America’s 29th Annual Artios Awards” honored the best of the best in casting and “The Young and the Restless'” Judy Blye Wilson took home her twelfth Artios Award in the process.

On her official Facebook page, “All My Children” star Jill Larson (Opal Cortlandt) broke her social media silence after it became apparent earlier this week that Prospect Park was not moving forward with a new season of either “All My Children” or “One Life to Live,” at least “at this time,” according to the actress.

Get ready for your jaws to drop, because the battle over “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” just got a hell of a lot uglier! In addition to the lawsuit that Prospect Park launched against ABC this April for the alleged sabotage of the company’s efforts to move the two sudsers online, the plaintiff filed a new amended complaint today with more details regarding the alphabet network’s alleged fraud and a claim that ABC schemed to create a “mega soap.” And guess what? It all comes with a demand for more than $95 million in damages!

As playwright Oscar Wilde once said, true friends stab you in the front. And so begins the inevitable downward spiral between “The Young and the Restless” besties Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), two female characters who’ve become a daytime rarity — true best friends — and whose recent storyline is setting the pair up to potentially take a serious fall. Will the recent death of Chloe’s daughter, Delia, followed by the heart wrenching transplant of the little girl’s corneas to Chelsea’s infant son, Conner, followed by the possible news that Conner’s father, Adam (Michael Muhney) is responsible for Delia’s death end up tearing the best friends apart? Soap Opera Network spoke with both Egan and Hendrickson for the scoop!

You’ve already heard from Debbi Morgan and Cady McClain, but what about the other stars of “All My Children” who’ve recently learned that Prospect Park will not be forging ahead with a second season of the supposed “anytime” soap opera. Putting together all the tweets (at the time of this posting), Soap Opera Network has compiled a list of what some of the actors are saying about the demise of “AMC” 2.0 on social media.

On Friday, November 8, Soap Opera Network reported that SOAPnet, now the old way to watch soaps, would cease operation on December 31, 2013 at 11:59:59 ET. In a piece by the Los Angeles Times, Ben Pyne, president of global distribution for Disney Media Networks, said, “SOAPnet had a great run.” He added, “It served an audience of super-soap fans. And when given the opportunity, all of our affiliates kept the channel up and running.” The affiliates Pyne refers are the cable and satellite operators including DirecTV and Cablevision, et al that have kept the cable network on their channel listings whether a new deal with Disney and the carriers was signed or not.

With “All My Children’s” Debbi Morgan confirming that her show (and likely “One Life to Live”) has been canceled after getting word from Prospect Park’s lawyers in the last couple of days, Soap Opera Network once again reached out to Prospect Park to find out if A) Are both shows now officially canceled. B) Is Prospect Park possibly seeking/able to try another reboot down the road. C) How does this cancellation relate to their rights to the shows and D) Do the rights now revert back to ABC.

While Prospect Park has yet to confirm the news to the press, “All My Children” star Debbi Morgan (Angela Hubbard) has confirmed that the soap is officially canceled. The actress tweeted, “my manager was given the news by PP’s lawyer,” when asked by a fan whether or not the show was now officially canceled after her previous tweets on Saturday, November 9 all but confirmed the news that the actors were informed by the production company. To make it clear as day to anyone still with hope, Morgan responded to another tweeter and said, “Yea, we’ve been canceled.”
