Congratulations are in order for former “General Hospital” head writer Ron Carlivati. The writer, along with his team consisting of Anna Theresa Cascio, Andrea Archer Compton, Suzanne Flynn, Kate Hall, Elizabeth Korte, Daniel James O’Connor, Elizabeth Page, Jean Passanante, Katherine Schock, Scott Sickles and Chris Van Etten, took home the WGA Award in the category of Daytime Drama for their writing work on the anniversary episode of the soap opera.

But what you may not be aware of is recent allegations that the executive may have allegedly crossed the line when it comes to revealing intimate details surrounding contract negotiations between the network and its actors, particularly in regards to Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber).
As previously reported, NBC has officially renewed “Days of our Lives” for next season, the show’s 51st.
In announcing the pickup, Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment, said, “NBC is incredibly proud of the legacy of ‘Days of our Lives’ and we couldn’t be more excited to brings its fans new stories for the 51st season.

After directing an episode in November, which aired earlier this month, “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Heather Tom (Katie Logan) is being given another go at the directing chair. The actress announced on her Instagram page yesterday that she’ll be directing an episode of the daytime soap on Wednesday, February 3, which will air Monday, March 14 on CBS and Pop.

The episode will now air on Monday, December 21 and an original episode will air on Christmas Eve (Thursday, December 24) in place of a previously scheduled encore.

With news that Pop will now air same-day rebroadcast episodes of NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” along with the already airing rebroadcasts of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” one can only wonder if the the network may have plans of airing rebroadcasts of ABC’s “General Hospital” as well. Sadly, that’s not the case.
