The hour glass will continue dropping sand for “Days of our Lives” star Camila Banus (Gabi Hernandez). The actress has renewed her contract with the soap and will remain for at least another year.

In a shocking twist, fans of “Blue Bloods” tuned into the season eight premiere on Friday, September 29 of the venerable CBS drama series only to learn that Amy Carlson (ex-Josie Watts Sinclair, “Another World”) had concluded her run as Linda Reagan. Carlson’s departure was revealed during a therapy session for her character’s husband, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), as he discussed losing his wife following a horrific helicopter crash while on the job.

More than a month since filming what was expected to be his final scenes as Julian Jerome on ABC’s “General Hospital,” following the two sides hitting an impasse during contract negotiations, actor William deVry and the daytime drama series have finally reached a deal that will keep the fan favorite on the soap opera for the foreseeable future.

Kicking off the annual “General Hospital” Fan Club Weekend on Thursday, August 3, was an event by actors William deVry (Julian Jerome) and Robert Palmer Watkins (Dillion Quartermaine). Of course, the topic on everyone’s mind was on where things stand between the soap and deVry, whose contract expired on June 30.

Actor Michael Weatherly (ex-Cooper Alden, “Loving”) will be departing “NCIS” at the end of this season, the actor and CBS confirmed today. Weatherly, who is only one of four original actors to have appeared in all of the show’s near 300 episodes to date, portrays the widely popular Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo on the series.

While Eric Brady prepares to contemplate what he could have done to save Serena Mason (Melissa Archer) from the clutches of a serial killer about to infest Salem beginning next week on NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” actor Greg Vaughan is already aware of what the future holds for his career. The actor recently announced that he has signed a new deal with the Sony Pictures Television/Corday Productions produced soap opera to continue on as the lovable son of Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor). He’s also going to be starring in an upcoming Hallmark Channel original movie.

When it looked like “General Hospital’s” Sonny Corinthos would finally be paying for his crimes as he was set to serve some serious jail time for the murder of AJ Quartermaine, it looks like he’ll soon be released after time served with word that actor Maurice Benard has signed a new deal with the daytime drama series.

As first reported by Soap Opera Network, actor Marc Anthony Samuel has confirmed that he’s now recurring on ABC’s “General Hospital” as Felix DuBois after being bumped from contract status. “Hey fans, thanks for the support. ‘GH’ is just a small part of a great and ongoing journey. Onward and upward!” wrote Samuel on his Twitter page. “To be clear guys, I’m recurring. Not on contract though,” he continued.

Fans have long wondered when “General Hospital’s” contract cast would be a receiving a trimming, as it’s widely known that the series has quite a large group of actors that make up the Port Charles canvas, but it was anyone’s guess whose status would be changed. Soap Opera Network has learned that actors Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix DuBois), Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne) and John J. York (Mac Scorpio) have all been placed on recurring status. In the case of Thiebaud and Samuel, their status change will be reflected in the on air credits in the coming weeks. York has been listed as a recurring cast member since early October.
