While “General Hospital” seems to be collapsing before our eyes in the Nielsen ratings, CBS continues to succeed with its winning lineup of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Young and the Restless,” “The Price is Right,” “Let’s Make a Deal” and “The Talk.”

With news that Pop will now air same-day rebroadcast episodes of NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” along with the already airing rebroadcasts of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” one can only wonder if the the network may have plans of airing rebroadcasts of ABC’s “General Hospital” as well. Sadly, that’s not the case.

In an interview with TMZ partner site tooFab, former “Days of our Lives” star Justin Gaston (ex-Ben Rogers) talks about playing both actor John Stamos and his alter-ego Jesse Katsopolis in the new Lifetime TV movie, “The Unauthorized Full House Story,” airing Saturday, August 22 on the cable network. Gaston also reveals that he and his wife, actress Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman, “The Young and the Restless”), who he wed in 2012, are definitely open to having kids down the road.

Since departing “Days of our Lives” in 2007, actor Trevor Donovan (ex-Jeremy Horton) has gone on to add several roles onto his resume including appearing in episodes of The CW’s “90210,” ABC Family’s “Melissa & Joey,” and most recently starring in the History Channel mini-series, “Texas Rising.” Now the actor has been cast as the lead in “The Man Who Wasn’t,” a potential TV series adaptation of the Thomas Caplan series of novels which follows the tales of former covert operative Ty Hunter, who unintentionally becomes the world’s biggest movie star while maintaining a double life as a spy.

As the mystery of who killed Silas Clay (Michael Easton) mounts this week on ABC’s “General Hospital,” we’re told “every clue, every witness brings you one step closer to who dunnit” in a newly released promo for the daytime drama series.

After a successful airing of “The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” earlier this year, Pop TV is proving it’s the new home for daytime television in primetime. Starting Monday, August 24, NBC’s “Days of our Lives” will be joining the network’s evening lineup that already includes CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless.”

On Wednesday, August 12, former “American Idol” contestant and “The Bold and the Beautiful” alum Constantine Maroulis (ex-Constantine Parros) was arrested for allegedly kicking the mother of his child in the groin, reports TMZ. “The mother of Constantine’s 4-year-old daughter called 911 from their home in Wyckoff, New Jersey claiming he threw her to the ground and kicked her in the groin,” the website cites a law enforcement source as saying.

Is Dena Higley‘s reign as co-head writer of “Days of our Lives” over before it even hits the air? According to a report by Daytime Confidential last week, Higley asked for, and was granted, a leave of absence from the show citing personal reasons.

Before taking on the Kardashians in the Hamptons later this week, “All My Children’s” Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane) was in Anaheim, California on Friday, August 14 to receive her Disney Legends Award, which was presented by Bob Iger, Chairman and CEO, The Walt Disney Company. The awards ceremony was part of the annual D23 Expo where more than 65,000 fans of the Disney brand gathered together to celebrate the entertainment they receive from all facets of the company.

While no specific airdate has been set, “Days of our Lives” stars Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) and James Reynolds (Abe Carver) will be joining host Pat Sajak and Vanna White on an upcoming episode of “Wheel of Fortune” later this fall, it was announced Friday on the official Twitter page for the game show. Their appearance is just one of several expected to coincide with the 50th anniversary celebration of the daytime soap opera.

Congratulations are in order for “The Young and the Restless'” Mishael Morgan (Hilary Curtis), who welcomed her son, Niam, into the world with husband, Navid. This is their first child together. “Cats out da bag #yrfanevent Introducing Niam!!! Thx 4 all your & support during this time in my life!” wrote the actress on Twitter during last night’s bi-annual biennial Fan Club Dinner for the daytime soap opera.

Susan Lucci, former star of “All My Children” (ex-Erica Kane) and a “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, will be joined by Blondie legend Debbie Harry, Christie Brinkley and Brooke Shields for a comedic reading of the 2010 release, “Kardashian Konfidential,” reports The New York Post. The ladies will each be taking on the role of one of the Kardashian sisters – Kourtney, Kim and Khloe – as part of the Celebrity Autobiography performance show on Friday, August 21 at the Guild Hall in East Hampton.

While Guy Wilson is busy clearing up rampant rumors about his “Days of our Lives” status, onscreen love interest Freddie Smith (Sonny Kiriakis) meanwhile is gearing up for an emotional goodbye to Salem on the Tuesday, August 18 episode of the daytime drama series, which finds Sonny headed to Europe to take on a position working for his grandfather, Victor (John Aniston).

Despite fan chatter stating otherwise, “Days of our Lives” star Guy Wilson took to Twitter earlier today and made it clear that he’s not going anywhere as Will Horton.

While only appearing in a handful of episodes of CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” in 2013 as Father Martin, actor Miles Gaston Villanueva is set to return to the soap next month in the newly created role of Luca Santori, a charming and mysterious Spanish prince from a wealthy family. The role is said to be recurring.
