Alison Sweeney Joins Cast of ‘Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas’ Holiday Movie

The expanding "Days of our Lives" universe is not only seeing the return of Alison Sweeney to the daytime drama series but she'll also be a lead in its first-ever holiday movie.

In addition to her recent return as Sami Brady on “Days of our Lives,” actress Alison Sweeney is also set to appear alongside Chandler Massey (Will Horton) and Eileen Davidson (Kristen DiMera) in the first-ever “Days of our Lives” holiday movie, entitled “Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas.” The movie premieres Thursday, December 16 on Peacock, the streaming service from NBCUniversal.

In the holiday movie, Will writes a screenplay before his Christmas Eve deadline. Using everyone’s favorite feel-good holiday movie tropes, he creates a festive story based on his family and friends in Salem — but with several twists and turns viewers will never see coming.

According to Peacock, it was a no-brainer for them to pick up the holiday movie from “DAYS” producers following the success of “Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem,” the five-part limited series that aired over five days in early September.

The limited series and the holiday movie are both produced by Corday Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television. Ken Corday is the executive producer with co-executive producer Albert Alarr. Ron Carlivati serves as head writer.

Additional cast members taking part in “Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas” include Deidre Hall, Jackée Harry, Drake Hogestyn, Camila Banus, Ari Zucker, Raven Bowens, Eric Martsolf, Billy Flynn, Paul Telfer, Lindsay Arnold, Lucas Adams, Carson Boatman, Greg Rikaart, Dan Feuerriegel, Zach Tinker and Blake Berris. Of the movie’s casting, Berris stands out as an odd choice considering his character, Nick Fallon, died several years ago and more recently appeared as a corpse during the Halloween episodes of “Days of our Lives.”

“Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas” will stream beginning Thursday, December 16, exclusively on Peacock. For more information, visit peacockTV.com.
