ION recently announced its slate of new original Christmas movies and three of them feature soap alums, including Colin Egglesfield (“All My Children”) who will play a charming mobster alongside Arielle Kebbel (“Ballers,” “The Vampire Diaries”) in “A Christmas Witness.” Vivica A. Fox (“The Young and the  Restless”) will play the head of a detective agency in “The Christmas Thief” while Clair Coffee (“General Hospital”) is forced to evict a man she’s falling for in “A New Lease on Christmas.”

Premiering Sunday, November 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET, “A Christmas Witness” follows a no-nonsense federal marshal (Kebbel) who is tasked with protecting a low-level, charming mobster (Egglesfield) until he testifies against his mafia boss two days after Christmas.

In “The Christmas Thief,” Michelle Borth (“Hawaii Five-O) plays Lana Lawton, a fledgling private eye home for the holidays who realizes that the only way to save her career is by solving a string of local burglaries where the main suspect is Santa Claus. With little evidence and having to contend with a local detective with an investigative style that clashes with hers, the season may prove to be anything but holly and jolly. Fox co-stars as the head of a local detective agency. The TV movie airs Sunday, December 5 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

“A New Lease on Christmas” follows a single real estate agent (Coffee) who falls for a handsome coffee shop owner (George Stults), only to discover that the job she just took requires her to evict him from his shop. The movie airs Sunday, December 12 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

ION touts itself as ranking number one among all networks airing original holiday programming in 2020. Across the Scripps Networks (ION and Bounce), the media company expects to air over 200 hours of holiday programming beginning Sunday, November 21 with the premieres of “Who is Christmas Eve?” on Bounce and “Christmas Down Under” on ION. Both TV movies air against each other at 8:00 p.m. ET.
