‘The Young and the Restless’ Tops in Demos, ‘General Hospital’ Surges While ‘Days of our Lives’ Tanks with Series Lows

Ratings Extra: "The Young and the Restless" tops in demos among all daytime shows, "General Hospital" hits 14-month high in Total Viewers, "Days of our Lives" hits series low in viewers, and ties Women 18-49 low. "The Talk" remains daytime's lowest-rated series.

For the week of June 21-25, 2021, “The Young and the Restless” topped the charts in both Women 18-49 (#1, 0.46) and Women 25-54 (#1, 0.69). The second half-hour of “The Price is Right” ranked second in both demographics with a 0.44 and 0.67 rating, respectively while there was a three-way tie for third place in Women 18-49 between “The Bold and the Beautiful,” the first half-hour of “The Price is Right” and “TODAY 3rd Hour,” with each program receiving a 0.40 rating. In Women 25-54, “B&B” ranked third with 0.65 rating, followed by “General Hospital” and the first half-hour of “The Price is Right” tied for fourth place with a 0.63 rating.

In Total Viewers, “General Hospital” attracted its largest audience since the week of April 13-17, 2020. Meanwhile, “Days of our Lives” hit a new series low (1.489 million) and tied its Women 18-49 low with a 0.24 rating. “The Talk” remained daytime’s least-watched and lowest-rated show.
