Daytime Broadcast Ratings: A look at how the soap operas, talk shows, and game shows performed during the week of July 19-23, 2021 in Total Viewers, Households, Women 25-54 and Women 18-49 rating.

During the week of July 19-23, 2021, “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal” returned to originals after airing repeats for the last couple of weeks. As a result, both half hours of “The Price is Right” continued to rank number one and number two, respectively, in households and total viewers, and “Let’s Make a Deal” performed stronger in the key sales demos.

In Women 25-54, the second half-hour of “The Price is Right” was number one with a 0.79 rating while the first half-hour was third with a 0.67 rating. In Women 18-49, the game show again placed first with a 0.50 rating for the second half-hour while the first half-hour ranked fourth with a 0.44 rating, beating “The Bold and the Beautiful” with its 0.42 rating.

“The Young and the Restless” remained tops among daytime dramas with a 0.71 rating in Women 25-54 and a 0.47 rating in Women 18-49. “B&B” followed with a 0.66 rating in Women 25-54 and the aforementioned 0.42 rating in Women 18-49. Both soaps fell a bit in Women 25-54 but improved their Women 18-49 numbers week-to-week.

In sixth place, “The View” tied “General Hospital” in Women 25-54, each with a 0.54 rating. In fact, this is the first time since the week of April 19-23, 2021 that the talk show has tied or beaten the soap in Women 25-54. In Total Viewers, “The View” gained 46,000 viewers week-to-week while “GH” gained just 19,000 viewers. 

“Days of our Lives” remained relatively flat week-to-week, gaining just 2,000 viewers from the prior week while retaining its week-ago 0.43 rating in Women 25-54. The soap was down week-to-week in Women 18-49 (0.26 rating vs 0.28 rating).

  • “Days of our Lives” aired only four episodes (Monday through Thursday). The soap is on hiatus until Monday, August 9 so that NBC can broadcast the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
