You might have seen her on screen as an influencer in Netflix’s global hit, “Emily in Paris,” but behind the scenes fashion stylist Erica Pelosini Leeman has been working closely at “The Bold and the Beautiful” as an executive fashion consultant, hired by executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell to dress the entire cast of the world’s most popular daily drama.

In an interview with Vanity Fair Italia, Leeman notes Bell and his wife, Colleen, reached out to her in order to translate international fashion from an editorial aspect. She will work alongside Glenda Maddox, the show’s costume designer, on such staple events as fashion shows, weddings and parties. “I found it a great idea to bring an editorial touch to TV,” said Leeman. “Many programs are famous for the outfits of their protagonists but none are as beautiful as ‘Beautiful’ given that the plot revolves around two fashion houses.”

As for how Leeman expects to make her mark on the show, she says, “I am a fan of the great masters of Italian design and I would like to give a haute couture touch to the series. Having been born and raised in Florence, I have collaborated throughout my career with brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Cavalli and Gucci, and now I would like to bring them with me on the screen.”

Maddox adds, “When I joined the team eight years ago, I was thrilled to be working on such an important project. I created a specific palette for each actor, opting for silhouettes and colors chosen according to each person’s personality. Over the years, the story of the characters has evolved and with it also their wardrobe, designed to tell the personality of each one while always keeping their personal style recognizable.”

For a look at some of the fashion styles fans can expect on “B&B,” Vanity Fair Italia took a behind the scenes look during a recent photoshoot at the Los Angeles studio where the series is filmed that included snaps of series stars Katherine Kelly Lang, Matthew Atkinson, Delon de Metz, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, Tanner Novlan and Annika Noelle, among others.
