During the week of December 14-18, 2020, “Days of our Lives” ranked number one among soaps in Women 18-49 Viewers for the first time since the week of March 20-24, 2006, including all periods when the soap opera competed with soaps no longer on the air. The soap attracted 243,000 viewers in the demo, a gain of 23,000 viewers week-to-week and a 10,000 viewer gain year-to-year.

In Women 18-49 rating, “DAYS” tied for first place among soaps with “The Young and the Restless” (both with a 0.37 rating) and “General Hospital” (0.36 rating) as the trio each rounded up to a 0.4 rating. “The Bold and the Beautiful” ranked last among the soaps with a 0.33 rating (rounded down to a 0.3).

“The Talk” continues to erode viewers despite hiring two new co-hosts to help stop the bleeding. So far this season, “The Talk” is averaging 1.502 million viewers. In Women 18-49 viewers, the soap is averaging just 155,000 viewers and only 240,000 viewers in Women 25-54. For the week of December 14, however, things were even worse for the talk show. “The Talk” averaged just 1.471 million viewers, with 148,000 viewers in Women 18-49 and 235,000 viewers in Women 25-54, placing it last among all daytime broadcast programs airing on ABC, CBS and NBC.

“The Price is Right” remained tops in viewers and the key demos.
